Staff is very helpfull and friendly, although we have not common language. The food was simply and typical for Toscana.

For a true Tuscan experience visit this small family run restaurant. Delicious starters included gnocchi, prosciutto and pici. Would like to have tasted the roast chicken but it was off the menu. We all settled on the roast beef which came thinly sliced and covered...in oil and rosemary. All washed down with a bottle of Asti and a couple of glasses of chianti. Pleasant atmosphere they also run the deli next door which looked amazing. Would recommend and very good value for money.More

Turned up without reservation on probably one of the busiest Saturdays in the summer. Lovely lady made a special reservation for us at 10.00pm. Turned up on the dot three hours later and our table was waiting. What an extravaganza. Great service - fantastic plastic...bottle of house wine and a feast of the most wonderful local dishes pasta, steak, boar, mozzarella, salads and more. Final bill for 4. —— only €80. Absolutely brilliant. Go there or miss outMore

Cosy friendly restaurant popular with locals. Small menu but all delicious and freshly made. Very good value. Delightful staff who obligingly made something off menu for one of the group. Highly recommend

While visiting Castiglion Fiorentino, we ate here twice. We spent a week in Tuscany, and thought their food was the best we had. This is a small trattoria, with only a few tables, but the food is amazing. Everything is cooked to order. There is...no set menu; a board on the wall lists what the specials are that day. If you are there when they have pasta with shaved truffles, you do not want to miss it! The people there are eager to bridge the language barrier (our Italian is limited) and make sure everything is to your liking and that you are happy. They have an attached delicatessen where you can take our wonderful cheeses, olives, etc.More

This is an exceptional family run restaurant where the emphasis is on easy, pleasing, delicious food. We stopped there for a very late lunch and all the family (mother, father and daughter) couldn’t have been more friendly when others would have looked at the clock...and turned us away. They made a special tomato sauce for my 5year old, our teenagers delighted in a simple but delicious caprese salad while my husband had the most amazing rolled beef, cooked to perfection and served with typical green beans. Coffee - delicious. Puddings not necessarily as there is a fab gelateria at the bottom of the hill. Deserves more than a 5 star rating.More

I had a great experience at this restaurant multiple times. I had a pizza making class and a cheese tasting. Both were fabulous! Loved the chestnut honey they served on the Pecorino cheese! Would recommend this place for lunch!

The pasta is excellent, the service is friendly and if you're there at the right time of day you can watch The Simpsons in Italian on the TV.

At the recommendation of our host, we decided to dine here. It truly was average. There was not one thing that stood out as the most memorable plate. It was sweet that the tied a bib on my husband when he was about to eat...his pasta. Not bad, not good, simply average.More

Best place for an informal reasonable home cooked lunch. Menu does change daily all very local rustic Tuscan dishes . Had some pastas dishes and sauces that I have never heard of before- and I read a lot of cookery books! Staff real friendly and...fun in helping us understand what the ingredients of recipes were, wine reasonable , locals eat here.More
