The owner/manager appears not to appreciate tourist business and was a bit of a grump but fair play the food was very good and the setting was lovely. Cycled into town and had lunch here twice. Pizza was excellent. Good value for money, clean and...a nice setting. Cheer up and it would be a 5 *More
Indifferent and frankly rude serving staff. Pizza is decent but not amazing. Other food is at best ok. Sitting outside with the stunning view is the only redeeming feature. Better pizza to be had at Il Gallo Nero
Don’t think it’s great to be greeted by a guy standing there smoking a cigarette but may be it’s the image this place wants to project. We were pointed to a table with a nice position. We managed to avoid being pressured into ordering to...quickly but were served drinks and water for our dogs very promptly. Our meal was timely and sufficient - pizza pasta and grilled chicken and a nice mixed starter. We were lucky I think in getting there just at the right time as we could sense things going terribly wrong for other tables as the place filled up. Would not be our first choice but it was one of very few open open on a weekday in this lovely town. Had much better elsewhere but for what we had we paid a fair price. Very bad experience. We waited for over an hour for our food. The order arrived and it was wrong. The waiters didn't even care and no one even bothered to apologize. The table next to ours complained about that their desert was still frozen -...and it wasn't ice cream. Just avoid the place.More
An hour later and still no pizza. We have visited this restaurant many times off season with no issues but came with friends on a busy summer evening and the service was terrible - meals arrived at different times , then we received the wrong...order and indeed nobody came to explain that we would have to wait hours for our pizza due to a busy kitchen. Worse than no apology was fact there was not even an acknowledgement that the manager cared about our experience. We weren’t the only ones.Not at all the kind of service we’ve come to expect in the area. We won’t be visiting again.More
Had 5 different Pizzas all of which were delicious. The building gave shade to get out of the heat. Great view of the church with the hills in the background. Coffee Italian espresso by far the best way to drink coffee. We had great service...so not sure what happened to the other people who gave poor reviews. Would definitely come again tomorrow.More
I don't know where to start really. The staff were really rude, ignoring us at every available opportunity, even when we wanted to play the bill! We ordered our food and 3 items were served in good time but the other 3 were served nearly...20 mine later, when we we asked where the food was, the waiters didnt seem to know what was happening. The food was average at best, the pizza had the best base ive ever had, so then but it was tasteless; i have also had better lasagne at school than what i had at roggi. A side dish of spinach was ordered but didnt come. The only positive is the lovely view of the church and the Tuscan countrysideMore
Good food with a view - this is the place to visit. Situated close to the central piazza of the city this place offers great hospitality, good food and a fantastic view if seated outside

I wish we hadnt bothered. We have eaten at over 10 restaurants in our 28 day stay - this one was by far the rudest and unpleasant. Food was average. Complete little blond primaadonna waiterboy looked at me as if he had found me under...the sole of his shoe. If I wasnt with my very hungry children, i wqould have told hime where to stick his little balding head and moved on back into town, where i am sure my custom would have been better received. Oh Well. It got 2 stars due to the view . shame.More
Found it by accident really as it's nowhere near the "centre" but we'll worth a visit. Fantastic food, stunning view, reasonable prices and excellent service. What more can I say?
We have eaten here several times now and always great food good service and friendly staff. House wines are great and the litre size beer is cold and well worth it. Some of the best roast potatoes I have eaten anywhere came from here and...the choice of food is great. Eat outside if you can as it is a wonderful old world atmosphere. We had lunch there on their patio and the view was exceptional. I had lasagna and my partner had pasta and both were excellent. But the view made it memorable. I’d definitely recommend having a meal at Roggi while in this lovely little town.
Just a very reasonably priced restaurant great views over the valley and excellent food and wine. Very warm and inviting staff so it made for a very relaxing lunch.
We stopped in here after seeing the sights in the castle. The atmosphere was warm and welcoming and the prices were very reasonable. Our group of six friends settled in and we all had pizza's which are the thin crust variety. With wine and water...our total for 6 was $81E. If you are visiting the town, this is the place to eat!More
