That's very nice to hear - thanks for leaving your comments! It must have been a few months back when you visited us as we've been closed due to COVID for such a long time. Hope to welcome you back here at some point in...More
First trip to Scotland with family and really pleased with the local pub we chose to eat out in. Warm friendly welcome from the owners, and great choice of drinks and food..

I've just noticed to my horror I never replied to your very kind review! So, many thanks indeed and we're delighted you all enjoyed your visit. Hopefully we'll see you back in these parts at some point. All best, Tim
You forget about the chill when your meal arrives. Starters of nachos and prawn cocktail. Main was tempura prawns with chips. I must use the old cliche the “ best ever that I have tasted”.They were a taste delight. The chef perfected the triple fry...chips during lockdown.Time well spent the batter so light and the inside was like soufflé.
Slick and pleasant service with blankets available. The beer and wine selection is very good.
Will alfresco dinning in winter catch on? Yes. When the food is this good.More

Excellent stuff! Delighted you enjoyed yourselves, thanks for taking the time to comment. Very pleased you liked the chips - they take a while to make but I heartily agree they’re worth it! Hope to see you again some time, we’ll have blankets at the...More
We visited here a few times during our stay in Pittenweem. From the moment we entered the bar, we were received with a warm welcome from Oonagh and the locals. Our dog Indie was given just as much of a welcome than we were. The...bar itself is warm and inviting and in times like these, they managed to maintain this as well as keeping with the social distance rules. Conversations flowed between all visitors within the bar and it provided a lovely atmosphere. We ate in here on one occasion and the food was of high quality, fresh and tasty. An impressive gantry of drinks as well as a selection of drafts and ales available. Please do visit here if you are staying or passing through Pittenweem, you won't be disappointed. Thanks for your hospitality and making our stay special !More

This is super to hear. Delighted you enjoyed your visit, and we very much look forward to welcoming you back. Thanks for taking the time to post your review. Tim
Popped along to the West End bar yesterday for lunch whilst staying at my parents. Really pleased to see vegan options on the menu including Quesadillas, hot dogs and burgers! The burger was delicious. Covid safe with excellent service and our dogs were well looked...after. It's great to see a new life for this lovely traditional pub in a beautiful village. We will be back!More

Delighted to hear this! Pleasure to have you visit and very much look forward to seeing you again. Tim
Five of us had dinner here and, without exception, described the food as excellent. Service couldn't have been better and the guy who looked after us (think he was the owner) was fantastic. He was knowledgeable, entertaining and made us feel very welcome. This isn't...a "high end" restaurant but it is, certainly, a place I would revisit before anywhere else in the area.More

Thank you very much for that lovely review. I thoroughly enjoyed looking after you all and very much look forward to welcoming you back some time in the not too distant future. Tim
I had Excellent fish and chips.
Excellent staff very friendly, good service.
My wife had Scampi tails which were clearly out of a box, when commented upon to the waiter the answer came back that they had been supplied by a local fish...monger, but that doesn’t mean they didn’t come out of a box. They probably don’t know if they will sell any prawns that night or next so they use the frozen option. Would be better if they didn’t put it on the menu. People want fresh food not OUT OF A BOX. Very disappointed @ £12:50

Thank you for your review, and I'm delighted you enjoyed your beer-battered haddock & chips, and liked our service. Regarding the scampi, it comes from the same fish merchant who supply our haddock, is 100% Scottish, is wholetail (not processed or reformed), and does indeed...More

We have a good range of whiskies, with a number of Islay malts (Bunnahabhain, Laphroaig, Ardbeg and Lagavulin), classics like Glenmorangie and Glenfiddich, and a number of other excellent malts e.g. Talisker, Highland Park, Oban and Dalwhinnie. We also have a small selection of blended whiskies (Johnnie Walker Black and Blue labels), and Irish and American whiskies (Jameson’s, Bulleit Bourbon). We don’t claim to be a specialist whisky bar with hundreds of bottles to choose from but it’s a good selection for a small village pub. Hope you can stop by to enjoy them. Tim
