We expected an overpriced 'concession' but were pleasantly surprised! The restaurant and gift shop were exceptionally clean and neat, the staff very helpful, and prices reasonable. This is a family owned/operated eatery, and the food is all homemade. We were there for breakfast - and mimosas. As we sat next to huge windows overlooking the pier, it was quite relaxing.... More

Our family of four stopped for lunch and was pleasantly surprised. My mom and I each had the she crab soup and hush puppies. They were outstanding! My son had the Smithfield chicken sandwich. Very yummy. Younger son had chicken tenders and they looked good. Enjoyed the walk on the pier.

Wife and I stopped for lunch on the way home from VA Beach. Real nice place with very good food. Enjoyed sitting outside, although it was very hot and humid, but the sea breeze made it delightful. Not only enjoyed the meal but, as a Navy vet, got a kick out of watching a few fleet ships pass by fairly... More

I stopped at this restaurant three miles off shore on the Chesapeake Bay and Tunnel System because I was looking for a place to stop for lunch and I was surprised by finding a restaurant actually on the bridge and tunnel system. I had the fried scrod (fish and chips). Service was actually pretty poor, but the food was great.... More

My mom and I had breakfast for the first time on June 10 2016. We both thought our meals were just ok. My mom got the Dawn Patrol: eggs, 2 sausage links, diced potatoes and wheat toast. My moms potatoes and links were both over cooked.( cost $5.99) I got The Chesapeake: eggs, 2 buttermilk pancakes, 2 sausage links, diced... More

What a great place to view the Chesapeake Bay Bridge and Tunnel from. We traveled across and back, stopping here to eat. The view was tremendous and the food was good. Enjoyed the meal and the window seat. Afterward we walked out on the pier and saw a Naval Destroyer go by. Great experience

We stopped at this restaurant before going again in the tunnel in this amazing area and although we did not expect much we were pleased to discover clean cut premises with efficient staff and very very fast service. My steak was OK and our drinks cold enough to keep us going again. From the window we had a great view... More

While crossing the Chesapeake Bay this afternoon we decided to stop and try the restaurant in the middle of the bay. This the first time to stop and eat in probably 20 years. We usually stop and use the bathrooms and stock up on the junk food before driving on. This is a beautiful place to stop for eats whether... More

We expected a tourist trap with over the top prices and bad food. We got the vegi sub with coffee and fries with key lime pie for dessert. We loved everything but the pie but I'm picky about my key lime pie! I would recommend this stop. The view was the topper.
