Always welcoming and genuinely down to earth local that unlike other local pubs does not pretend to be something it isnt. Beer is always first class and the food on offer is very good. would recommend a visit for a nice evening out.

I hired this venue out for a surprise party for my Father and it was FABULOUS. The staff and management couldn't do enough for me and my guests although the pub restaurant was busy. We chose a buffet style tea for our guests and the food was gorgeous! Great location, great people, great food, great atmosphere - i can't fault... More

Booked and were there before the rush. Was a bit worried about the "Gastro type" food but wow. Delicious and good portions. Staff were so friendly and patient with my 2 year who got bored. ONLY negative - please move smoking tables away from doors and windows and it really does smell in the restaurant. Could it be possible to... More

Popped in for a Friday night last minute evening meal. We both had the rare breed 28 day aged Ribeye, hand cut chips, grilled tomato, chestnut mushrooms, peppercorn sauce. Asked for medium rare and weren't disappointed. Two clean plates returned from an absolutely first class culinary experience. Paired with a lovely bottle of Rioja. Our only slight gripe was that... I cannot believe at I've just eaten such an amazing meal in a local country "pub". Absolutely first class. What was more of a plesent surprise was that there was a very large christening party in the resturant and event though the kitchen was busy our meals were perfect. Well done guys.
