We had been driving exploring for hours when we came upon this lovely coffee shop. We entered and from the first moment we walked in we felt the warmth of the owner and her staff. When it came to paying for lunch we realised we had no cash on us and lovely Mrs Campbell let us leave on a promise... More

We had a really nice meal at Loch Croistean, 4 courses at a very reasonable price unfortunately we had to leave early due to going for the early boat the next morning so were unable to enjoy a good chat with the lovely Marianne, pop in!! Well worth a visit.

Karen and I had a really tasty evening meal one evening followed by coffee and cake the following afternoon. Relaxing music on a Wednesday night to accompany our splendid home cooked dinner. We really hope to re-visit before too long.

We enjoyed two meals at this restaurant during our recent stay on Lewis. Both were absolutely delicious. Ingredients were fresh, meals were prepared with care, and prices very reasonable. Service was very prompt and friendly. Lovely live music on a Wednesday evening. Charming decor. Worth a stop if you are in the area.

It was a delight to dine at the Loch Croistean restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble for them, and they went out of their way to please. We arrived as three hungry cyclists. The remote location, the staff, the food, the decor, the ambiance, all contributed to a very relaxed and satisfying evening. They do it differently and they do... More

Popped in here for a cup of tea and cake on way back from Uig on a filthy afternoon with gales and rain. The owner could not have been more welcoming. Well worth the visit if you're passing that way.

Our B&B owner (Sarah at SEAcroft) booked us a table at Loch Croistean for dinner on a Saturday evening, we'd been told it was a buffet dinner with a 'take your own wine/beer' policy. The restaurant was full but caters for only about 20 - 24 covers quite a few of whom seemed to be regulars. Loch Croistean has a... More

Just returned from dinner here. Staff very friendly in the restaurant as was the owner. Tried to get in yesterday but they were fully booked but managed to get a table for this evening. You've been warned, probably best to book a table. The building is an old school house which retains a lot of its original features. Quirky menu... More

We visited for lunch a couple of Saturdays ago. The restaurant was very busy, but we sat on some lovely, squashy sofas. It really was like being at a friend's house for lunch! The food was delicious - we had soup with bread and filling. My only comment is that I would have liked a little more of it, but... More
