The best around

I have been using this restaurant for years and has always been good but under the recent manger it is exceptional. Him and his staff have always made us laugh been very attentive and fantastic weather I am there with family or friends especially with my kids! He has even driven us home after a meal! On a recent visit he informed us of how lucky we were as his father wanted to cook something really different so he just brought us out special versions of our dishes, the night was amazing as ever and it’s clear his staff love him and he loves his staff. Always look forward to going here and hope it remains under this management for a long long time.

Visited this restaurant last Thursday while staying with friends who live near by, the food was amazing and the staff very very friendly and knowledgeable. It was an absolute pleasure visiting and eating there the whole experience was outstanding- highly recommended this restaurant if you are ever in the area. Tina & Steven from Somerset

We ate here last night. The restaurant has had a tough few years, but now in the hands of new management, the food and service is excellent. Given the Covid situation, we arrived at our table, where menus, cutlery and plates were set in napkins so only we touched them. We all had starters then mains, it was banquet night, so a set price, but still the choice of the whole menu. We were all stuffed, so our food was boxed for us to take home. Nothing was too much for them. Fully recommend anyone to visit this friendly restaurant.

Awful service do not order takeaway from here

Ordered food via just eat for it to arrive at 6.15pm, once the order was finally confirmed, they had already changed the time of delivery to 6.45, which fair enough if you need the extra time than whatever. Food did not arrive by that time, contacted just eat and they assured me it would arrive within half an hour, half hour past and still nothing. I rang the restaurant to enquire after attempted 60 times to get through, I was inundated with the so called manager offering me discount on my next purchase, I’m sorry but I want my original order? Where is it? He assured me a further 10 minutes. To which of course the food didn’t show. Cancelled the order via just eat after it was now officially 2 hours late. Absolutely shocking service, will not be ordering from here again. Do not promise things and then fail to meet them. If your struggling to cope just be honest.

Mughal Mastery

Thank you to Hassan, Khaled and the Mughal Dynasty team for yet another fantastic evening. On arriving we had drinks within minutes, followed by poppadoms with a selection of dips. After perusing the menu we chose Mixed Kebabs which were tasty and tender. Main courses of Garlic Chilli Chicken accompanied by Keema Rice and a Keema Rice. Second main was a Jinga Maselader was a mixture of lamb mince and prawns which had an amazing taste. The staff are friendly and funny, always happy to do a David Bailey to capture your evening. I recommend the Mughal Dynasty with a 10/10 for everything from presentation to taste. Hassan is a great supporter of the local community and always ready to do his bit. THANK YOU

Excellent food great staff

We went for our first visit as we live quite far away from this place , we were welcomed into the restaurant and were sat straight away and it wasn’t very busy due to the early time of the evening we were there , we were asked if we wanted drinks and they arrived promptly as did the menus. They took our orders and within a very short time the starters arrived which were delicious. Then the mains arrived around 20 to 30 mins later which also was delicious. The food was great and the staff were very attentive, the only thing I would criticise is that we were offered cheesecake which is very odd in an Indian restaurant we as assumed by the way it was being offered that it was complimentary as there was no mention of charging for it , however it didn’t spoil our evening in this restaurant. Definitely would recommend and give them a 👍👍up

Great takeaway

Following friends recommendations we needed takeaway so went here. Super friendly welcome from the staff who were full of great suggestions and really knew their menu. Nice atmosphere in the restaurant and the staff new many of the customer by first name which was a lovely touch. Got home and the food was fantastic. Tasty and well cooked, flavours were great without being over powering and the recommendations suited our taste perfectly. All in all a great meal. Would thoroughly recommend the Tawa dishes and the Chicken Tikka Naga has a real kick. Cant wait to go back.. Well done guys

Hubby and I have already made this a weekly place to visit. When we moved from Suffolk at the end of June we thought it would be hard to replace our local Tandoori House but this restaurant proved otherwise. All food tastes fresh and have crisp, clear flavours. The main curries do not disappoint. I especially rate their Dansak and mixed meat Biryani. The sides are tasty and all items are very good portions. Good variety of drinks too. Service is friendly and professional but not at all intrusive. Kids also loved it when they visited. In all, this is why we keep coming back.

Wetting the baby’s head

We were a family of 6 one of us being a couple of weeks old . Wetting the new babies head so to speak. The service was absolutely top drawer and the food was excellent, nothing was too much trouble for them and this restaurant is a credit to raunds for a great curry , some people might think taking your own booze is problem but we found it was great and they give you a glass and open your beer for you . I would definitely recommend and will definitely be back.(even had a doggy bag to take remaining of my food home as the portions are really good.) Well done to all the team .

Never a bad experience!!

We regularly order from Mughal dynasty for delivery and every now and then dine in. Both take away and eat in provide service and taste to a high standard. I’ve had my fair share of Indian cuisine from around the country and not one restaurant will beat mughal for a great all round experience. Yes it maybe my local Indian restaurant but it is honestly the best around.

I had ordered a vegetarian Samosa but unfortunately they served me a meat samosa. Luckily I cut open first before eating. They apologised and replaced with a vegetable samosa. Our meal was then very enjoyable. Good atmosphere, tasty food, friendly waiters.

Wonderful everytime

I have been a few times with my partner, friends and family and we have loved it every time. First of all, I always call to book in case they are super busy. They are so polite on the phone every time. They inform you that they do not serve booze it is bring your own every time without fail to avoid any disappointment. The staff are very nice but the food is something else, it is stunning. I ordered a lamb tikka starter, beautiful flavours the right amount of food and they give us a break between courses each time. I then had the chicken madras and wow just stunning. I would 100% recommend each time

First time visiting this restaurant and won’t be the last. I had the best chicken pathia I’ve ever had. Garlic nan was good & the bahjas. Hubby had the garlic chicken tikka and he also said it was the best he had ever had and we’ve been to a lot of Indian restaurants Service was swift and the restaurant is lovely and clean Hassan is lovely and thanks for the chocolates 😋

We saw the write up and had had food from here previously which was very pleasant. This time the starter of a chicken chat was nothing like any chat I have had previously. This was more chicken tikka in a red sauce, not astounding. My main was Madras, it seems that most restaurants seem to have a base sauce and add some kind of hot pepper to create a Madras level of heat. The result was a flavourless curry that had a heat which stuck to your tongue in an unpleasant way. Madras usually has a fantastic depth of flavour. Heat is normally there but it clears your mouth and afterwards your mouth feels cleansed but not clogged with heat in your tongue. This place is not unusual in this as I now can't find that elusive madras that is so satisfying. One person had a chicken Bhuna that was not hot at all but was really flavoursome, we all shared some of this. The butter chicken was so sweet as to be clothing and not too pleasant at all, the same for another chicken dish, way too sweet. Naans were very pleasant, especially the keema naan and the rice was very pleasant. It's a shame but overall we were very disappointed as only one of us out of 4 actually enjoyed the meal
