Not sure if I was in a different restaurant from the previous reviewers, the food is bland and very very average. The importance seemed to be how the food looked ( which was all very Clichéd) to how it tasted. The menu is uninspiring and the food was equally so. The ill informed waiter tried his best, but it all... More

We were a party of 5 and had booked for 7.30 on a Tuesday evening. We had a drink in the bar and at 7.50 decided to go through to the restaurant. The decor is lovely. No one had come to ask us if we were ready or offered menus. We found our table and sat down. Eventually we were... More

Booked in for a Saturday evening we were shown to our table but provided with neither drinks or food menu's. Asking twice for a wine menu eventually the rather surly young man brought one. When he was aked about the price of the 8oz sirloin steak (advertised on a small blackboard with 8oz, 10oz and 12oz Sirloin Steaks) he replied... More

New to the area, found the pub by accident but we're delighted with it. A gastro pub / restaurant really. Great, personal service, lovely lunch. Will definitely be going back.

Having eaten here before, and found it nothing special, drove over for evening meal, as heard entertaining reviews of the new manager only to find him "Gone". Slow indifferent service, staff little knowledge of menu and did not feel welcome as was told we would be. Sorry to have missed the experience my friends were raving about. Food still good... More

I don't mean to hammer this restaurant but merely advise on the many errors we experienced and they are so easy to resolve to improve one's experience at the Swan. On arrival the young lady was unable to lever off the cap of a bottle of Coke Cola so we had to do it for her. When we asked to... More

Small country pub in lovely landscape but classy kitchen, stylish service, great satisfaction for diners. Evening menu was very varied (not true of all in the group) and the kitchen;s ability matched an ambitious selection of dishes. Tried it again for Sunday roasts and different menu style but good quality meat and portions. Not the usual restaurant thin slice, but... More

We have visited twice since the refurbishment. A lunchtime visit for sandwiches turned into a meal as the menu is tempting. I had the pulled pork burger with mash and salad. Very flavoursome! Husband had seared salmon and vegetables. On our second visit with a friend the food was just as good. The desserts are lovely. We recommend the lemon... More

The menu was local produce with a good variety . Quick service and well presented . Although I complained I didn't think my chicken was cooked enough but they didn't do anything about it . Waiter cheesy and tried to be funny . He had good knowledge of the menu .
