We visited at lunchtime on the recommendation of a friend. The views were amazing! We both ordered the salt and pepper calamari and it was so tasty!

Great view the rest is a disgrace.. Everything is served with chips and salad however tomato must be hard to source at this dive as a salad consists of shredded lettuce carrot and onion.. Are you serious?? I went here around 12 months ago and...the menu was 10 times better and broader than the limitations I saw before me.. Bulldoze the joint and start again!!!More

Fantastic view but that’s it! Over cooked hot chips, soggy squid under what was meant to be an Asian salad. No beer on tap. Won’t be back

I remember this place fondly from my younger years and when we came for a beer one afternoon (while on holiday last week) I got all nostalgic and knew we had to book for dinner with friends who were travelling through from Airlie Beach. 180•...Views to die for! Food is so/so (I had pork belly which was a tad overcooked but the calamari was awesome). Main meals are a little on the pricey side when it’s not fine dining but the reason for my “excellent” rating is for the other attributes. Vegetarian options Are better than you expect according to my husband, drinks were not too bad and atmosphere and view is what we came for which is good from any table. Enjoyed the friendly service from very polite staff who go out of their way to please and the wait for food was not long. I recommend having beer from stubbies and not tap because there was a strange taste to the schooner we had at lunch. Maybe a one-off but eh. Photos I took show the pub needing a fresh paint job - currently blue but so full of charm. I’m of the opinion that doing renovations would spoil the character so maybe a fresh pain job is all it needs especially as the place would probably be expensive to maintain and likely gets a pummelling in bad weather. Some extra parking would be a draw card as there is a limit In the bitumen area due to it being on a steep hill and would be difficult if you had a mobility issue and had to park lower down on the grass with a lean to your car when busy. All in all, totally worth the drive and we had a great time. I expect when Covid is over, this place would be packed and live music would get people to stay for longer if there was a courtesy busMore

Came here without a booking but there were a number of tables, we ordered pretty quickly, took 45 minutes plus for the food to come. I had the fritters which were as hard as rocks, couldn’t even get the fork in. Hubby had squid salad,...he said was overcooked. I looked at my bill afterwards and didn’t add up, I went back they had order mains everything and then had a sign 45 minute wait for food. Very disappointing long wait for fried hard food!!!More

I must admit that we did not stop at the hotel on our recent drive around Mackay beaches due to time restrictions but this hotel would be a perfect place to come for a relaxing drink with views of the ocean.

This place is under capitalised!!! It could be one fantastic cliff top balcony scene. I could see it killing the breakfast scene then dominating lunch crowds with music into the evening. Seriously one great location. My wage burger was good but probably overpriced . My...wife’s calamari was good. The unrealised potential of this place is off the charts. Worth the visit!More

It's a pretty standard pub meal. I'm sure they do have this on the menu.
