At the outskirts of the village of Manolates, just 4 km off the seaside Agios Konstantinos, the visitor will encounter a traditional village home, turned into a tavern, where Manolis, the proprietor, and original founder's son, offers excellent traditional Greek cuisine made of local, mostly...self-produced ingredients, and his own home--made wine. A must-visit when in Samos!More

Went here after reading some good rewievs and because of the views. The views are great u I regret that I did not continue on to the town square. I’ve been traveling alot and I’ve never had a worse food experience. We ordered Mousaka. The...service was very fast and we quickly understood why. They use a microwave to heat the food. We heard the distinct «pling» from the microwave several times while we sat there, so probably the other guests got there food reheated as well. Our mousaka was tasteless, grey and heated in the microwave. But not all the way through so it was both warm and ice cold. The texture was awful.I don’t think I could have made a worse tasting mousaka even if I tried.More

Loukas Tavern is situated in a small village called Manolates on the Greek island of Samos. Up in the mountains. It’s a lovely venue, with a gorgeous view. The Greek meatballs (keftedes) are superb! My fave! And the other Greek snacks/dishes are really really tasteful....The mother is the chef, and the son runs the place. Lovely and friendly people. If you’re around, or not, do visit Loukas Tavern. I know I will!More

We were very grateful for long drinks after three hours walking and it was great to sit and enjoy the wonderful views. We had a generous Greek salad to share but although the beef stifafo and goat were tasty there were more bones than meat...so we were rather disappointed . There are good clean washrooms and service was quick. The prices were very fair so it is a shame not to be able to rate this better.More

The restaurant is worth the climb as it is definitely a traditional and family-run place with an awesome natural view of the northern side of Samos that is definitely worth it ! Aside from that, the food is traditional and pure but it's just an...average Greek tavern, regarding taste. I'd say it's worth the climb due to the view and the feeling though.More

Stopped by this restaurant for lunch whilst visiting Manolates. It is right near the top of the village with great views out to the sea. The food was very fresh and could not be faulted. We were also served sweet wine compliments of the house.

Arrived after tough climb at 19 to empty restaurant. A little difficult to get proper attention from waiter. Food was ok but no more. Very atmospheric family run place. The view alone makes it worth going I think.

This place is located pretty uphill , so you need to sweat a bit to get there but both the food & the view are really rewarding! Might be worth to call and book as it gets pretty busy sometimes . We tried the ruster..., soutzoukakia and some starters and it was all excellent and pretty big portions! Strongly recommended!More
