Four of us enjoyed a very tasty Sunday Lunch - the service was very good and the food was very tasty. 2 of us had the lamb which was so tender and cut thick. The other two in our party had the turkey which they said was very succulent and tasty. The meal was without a doubt very good value... More

Beautiful food and lovely atmosphere, always plenty of choice and is just that bit more quality food for a pub which I like. There are daily dishes and always something for the fussiest of eaters to find on the menu.

Nice people, nice location but sadly the roast dinners are far from good! It's good value at 2 courses for £11.99 (I think...or £10.99 maybe?) at Sunday lunch time. The garlic mushroom starter was fine-though mushrooms in lots of creamy sauce on top of bread = mushy bread! I paid £1 extra for the Wormley lamb (local lamb) but sadly... More

Not been here for a couple of years, and probably won't be going back in a hurry. The food was I suppose acceptable but not cheap. It was Saturday afternoon but not late and found the staff basically unwelcoming, perhaps it's a place that only really welcomes locals and regulars.Disappointed to say the least!

Took a senior colleague from across the pond here and we both loved it. I had the venison which was just amazing and my very well travelled colleague had the Cajun salmon which he said was one of the best meals he'd ever had. I'll certainly be back.

We booked a table for five to celebrate Mother's Day. The table was plenty big enough; we didn't feel squashed in as can sometimes happen when there are five of you. The service was second to none and there was plenty of choice of food (both off the board and the menu). We all had something different and everyone was... More

The pub was packed, and we could all see why when the food came; well cooked, decent portions and great service. You might be wondering why I didn't give this establishment five stars? Because the drinks are very expensive; I've never paid £5 for two soft drinks ( a large lime and soda, and an Appletise). Otherwise no complaints

Having never been to the Waggon and Horses before I was pleasantly surprised to see every table taken at 7.30pm, such a refreshing change to find that all the tables were taken by diners and not casual drinkers, which can be a little off putting when you are not a regular. The starters were enormous, I tend to forget that... More

Beautiful fish and chips on a Friday night. Service is good. Garden is more like a car port and could do with a nice seating area.

We have eaten here a few times and the food is always good, however the last couple of times we have been there early evening for a drink only and a catch up with friends. On both occasions we were asked to sit in an area near the entrance door as the main area was set up for diners, which... More
