Myself and 7 friends had lunch at The Queens Head last weekend - it was amazing food. All of us enjoyed our dishes I had the Haddock and Chips, the batter was so fresh and not at all greasy. Would highly recommend eating here

Popped in for a spot of lunch on the hottest day of the year with a couple of friends. Loads of out door seating with beautiful views of the river. Just had a chicken mayo sandwich which was just average but good value for money considering you also get chips, coleslaw and salad. Quick service and friendly staff. Would pop... More

Had a great lunch. It has a nice big menu with lots of specials, generous portion of good pub grub. Beautiful view sitting outside on a sunny summers day. Good service. Would recommend!!!

This neat looking, well kept, pub is situated right on the quay at Maldon providing lovely views if you manage to get a window seat or if you are happy to sit outside. As we entered the pub at 11:50 it was easy to get a table by a window. However, on approaching the bar to order some drinks, we... More

Popped in here for a G&T after lunch as it had just been refurbished. Nicely decorated and landlord was welcoming and knew his gin, lots of choice. Will definitely be back to try the food which looked very good.

Returned to this lovely pub & restaurant after an absence of 12 months. Delighted to find that nothing had changed - still a wonderful place to relax & enjoy a good meal. We sat outside to enjoy the warmth of the sunshine, but under the shade of the ample umbrellas. As the tide came in we noted our table number and... More

Had a lunch with friends here over looking the estuary when the tide was in. Very nice and peaceful. Service was good, staff polite and helpful. I had the larger burger which was "large", a bit too much for me. Prices are a little on the high side but its a nice place so you pay for what you get.

Eight of us enjoyed a lovely lunch overlooking the river Blackwater at high tide. The service and food were excellent. All 20 covers were full, for Monday this shows how popular this restaurant is both for locals and day visitors. A very good menu, fish especially good. Wide range of beers too.

The best pub venue in Maldon, set on the Blackwater river.Thames barges aline the quayside. Large patio area, with seating for over 100 people. Over looked by Maldon St Marys Church. A wonderful setting on the quay, a fantastic old working dock fo yesteryear.
