Stopped for a break and had wonderful coffee and the cakes looked so good we just had to try one. And we weren't disappointed! Great place to sit on the sidewalk and people watch while getting your afternoon pick-me-up.

Lovely cakes! Nice to sit with a coffee/tea and they also have a good bakery with good pastries. Nice terrace to sit.

Get a half-dozen pastries and a cafe con leche, and your day will be perfect.

Pretty much everything at this bakery is delicious. The empanadas were particularly good, well seasoned filling and flaky pastry. Their sweet pastries are also amazing, we had a roll filled with jam and one filled with dulce de Leche and both were great. Super friendly staff, everything is reasonably priced. Outdoor seating could use some more shade but that is... More

After driving from Bariloche with wonderful lake-country eye candy at almost every curve of the road, we arrived in the tranquil & charming town of El Bolson. Our primary destination there was a visit to Plaza Pagano a lovely park in the center of town with a pond. We were coming especially for the El Bolson Regional Fair set up... More

La Nona is a little jewel of a bakery/cafe we discovered for lunch a block away from the city park and large artisan market. Not only do they have a yummy array of all-too-tempting cakes cookies, and breads, but their empanadas were the best of our trip....light flaky crust, with melt-in your mouth fillings. Their sandwiches were unusually good, no doubt because of the quality and freshness of their bread. We were introduced to a huge sandwich distinguished by its braided, multi layered(similar to a croissant) bread dotted with tiny pieces of ham that encased a filling of thinly sliced ham, cheese, hard boiled egg, lettuce, and tomato that could easily be shared by three people...couldn't resist having their delicious dulce de leche filled, dark chocolate coated alfajores(addictive traditional Argentine cookies). Very kind service, extremely clean, and inexpensive.
