This place serves very good traditional food. The setting is perfect -right on the beach. There was a bit of a wait so probably best to make reservations. We had the calimari as well as fresh fish and both were good.

Steki is conveniently located right on the beach of Platis Gialos. The food is quite good and the service is generally fast even on a very busy day.Don't miss on the mastelo, which is a famous local recipe (lamb cooked with wine and dill in a clay pot) and it was truly delicious. The traditional chickpea soup (also prepared in... More

Since the first time we visited this restaurant in 1997, we always have it in our schedule when we return to the island. The local and other Greek food is always tasty.

Steki is a very good choice, tasting Greek food in Platys Yalos. It is located next to the beach. The dishes are delicious with all local tastes. Both meat and fish are of good quality. I would suggest "revithada" and "caparosalata" which are typical in Sifnos, for starters. Prices are normal and staff very polite.

Be prepared to get your feet wet because this place is right on the water's edge and the only way from the car/bus park is to walk on the beach where you have no real option but to paddle. That said the food was delicious and the wine (from Limnos)) was excellent. Run by very affable people and well worth... More

To Steki epitomises all you imagine a Greek beachside taverna to be. Wooden chairs, paper tablecloths, simple, tasty food and ice cold Mythos (or whichever beer takes your fancy). And that is what you get. From perfect fried squid and Greek salad to typical Sifnian cuisine, like chick pea balls and saganaki (fried cheese), everything we ate at To Steki... More

Great local dishes by the sea, quick service, reasonable prices and you can pay with card which is useful. Try the local "Mastelo".

A must @ the beautiful beach of Platis Yialos. They serve typical food of Sifnos like delicious mastello we had (lamb in the oven). Both the starters and desserts are in good portions! Nice young staff.
