We visited this place, after advice, and it did not disappoint our expectations. The big attraction is a fixed menu at something around €20, wine included. it is good and definitely worth the price. The day we were there, Saturday for lunch, all tables had...More

To start by the end, we left this place with a bad feeling and will never come back. I must say that the meal was fairly good, and the chief know what he is doing. And the restaurant as a place is nice. But the...More

We arrived from Parma in Domodossola and wanted to eat somewhere on a rainy evening. We passed by Trattoria La Motta and were the only customers. The food is excellent, it really is. The presentation even so. Tagliatelle with wild boar ragout served in in...More

Excellent small restaurant. Nice food, really friendly service, mind the translation on the menu, but if you ever have been in an italian restaurant, you will find your way around.

Despite having made a reservation, two parties of three (without reservations !) were seated before me. I was then told a table was available on the terrace where I could only have coffee. This type of treatment is unfortuanely not uncommon for solo diners around...More

Great find! Visiting for the day, we went to the market and then for lunch here. This is a warm, friendly place, the family owners were very hospitable. We had a party of 10, the food and service was superb, we will be back!

A lovely family run restaurant in the centre of Domodossola. The wonderful smells coming from the kitchen led us to this little gem. The food was delicious and very typical of the region , the service and presentation of food was exceptional, and the family...More

We stopped here on the way home. Even though the staff was kind, the service was incredibly slow. Important to say that the restaurant was not crowded at all. Nevertheless, about 20 minutes just to place the order. Then half an hour to get the...More

This is a review I almost regret writing, as this place is so special you want to keep it low key as so far we've always been able to get a table. Over 6 years this is our 3rd visit , each one magical -...More

We visited Domodossola on 2 January this year, and even though the second of January is not a holiday in Italy, the whole town looked mostly closed. We saw a dim light behind the windows in this trattoria and went in not expecting much. We...More
