I have been lucky enough to eat at some great restaurants around the world but this is without a doubt my favorite. The food appears simple but the flavors are heavenly. I still daydream about the shrimp. We got the tasting menu and every dish was amazing in its own right. To top it all off it is in a... More

I had read amazing reviews about this place. We rented a car and arrives at the beautiful village. Perhaps our first mistake was going there for dinner as opposed to lunch...the restaurant was empty. You would have thought with that we would have had outstanding service, no it was awful to the point of hilarious. Not much was said about... More

Not sure what I can say that hasn't already been said, but this place truly is amazing. The food quality is unparalleled. Just make sure you know what they're trying to accomplish here - simply prepared food with the highest quality ingredients standing on their own. Each dish is exceptional in the simplicity of its preparation and the complexity of... More

The food in Etxebarri is just simply amazing. We had the degustation menu and it has a nice selection of food. Even simple Chorizo sandwich has made me memorizing the texture and flavour. The prawns seemed simple but it is the most fresh and sweet one we've ever had. Even when I am writing the review now, I am still... More

This was one of the most amazing meals of my life. I will confess that we like fine dining. Last time we were in Europe we ate at four top ten restaurants, and the previous two days we had enjoyed Arzac and Mugaritz. Mugaritz in particular we thought was an experience that could not be repeated, with more chefs in... More

We dined here while visiting Rioja Region because of their #10 World ranking. The next day we dined at #7 Mugaritz.... This restaurant should be #1 and I am not sure what food critic would rank the cuisine less here than at Mugaritz. The food at Extebarri is perfection. The service is top notch. The experience is everything you expect... More

The best streak I've ever had! Overall the tasting menu was a little disappointing without many standouts. It was very seafood based and a few dishes felt like misses. I was a bit worried until the beef chop arrived and absolutely blew our minds and made up for any of the other dishes. It was incredible! I can't say I've... More

A car trip from San Sebastián was the perfect way to reach our lunch destination . It was the 2 nd of 3 of top 20 restaurants in the world that we were fortunate in visiting that weekend! The setting of the restaurant in this tiny village in the middle of the mountains is spectacular . It has been said... More

This was a wonderful experience from the time we arrived. Set in a quiet village, the restaurant is surrounded by picturesque views of grapevines and mountains. We had the tasting menu (15 different dishes) with matching wines (6 different wines). Each dish left you wanting more and there was an endless supply of house made bread of about 5 varieties....
