Wanted to grab a Cuban style breakfast, couldn't think of the place we wanted to go to and ended up here instead. It was absolutely delicious. There's a breakfast buffet that we chose and it didn't disappoint. The empanadas--especially the beef, were to die for.

Great food, huge portions and reasonable prices. The fried sweet plantains are awesome as are the red beans and rice. Large menu with lots of options. We stop in every time we're in the area.

You're not likely going to be blown away by the decor or the ambiance. However, look beyond that and you'll be pleasantly surprised by the amazing food that comes out of this place. I was alone and not really in the market for a long, drawn out meal. So I checked out the daily specials and went for the lomito... More

We stumbled here on our way from Everglades. The waitress barely spoke any English which was not a problem for us. The food was amazing! But the portions are so big, that unless you want to take home dinner for next day or two, it is better to share food.

We went for the Sunday brunch and it was a good option for those of us who wouldn't have been sure what to order. We tried a bit of everything and although some of it could have been warmer, it was tasty. The staff speaks mostly Spanish, but they were very patient and helpful. The cafe con leche was delicious.

THe food was incredible and the portions were very generous. The waiter was helpful with menu selections. Unfortunately he was distracted by a friend who was dinning. He was very inattntive and after I asked for the check it took 25 minutes to got out of there. The entire time he was 2 tables over talking to a friend.

My visits were on 11/27 & 11/28/15 due to staying at Hyatt Place right behind El Tropico. We had the Skirt Steak and Chicken Salad for a late lunch. The portions are huge! We ate 1/2 & the rest for dinner. We also went back for breakfast the next day! Even though we had free breakfast at the hotel (which... More

Loved the food here the Tropico sand which was a fresh take on a Cuban, and I really enjoyed it. The down side was slow service. Seemed to take a long time to serve food and a really long time to get a check and get it payed.

Food was good and lots of it but my children did not like the menu choices. Not much else in the area so we ate here! Prices were expensive for a family on vacation.

You definitely get a huge portion but the value to price didn't quite click. Got a steak and a natural juice and my bill was $30. It's on the pricey side for Cuban fare but the meal was good and the juice not so natural lol
