Delicious food freshly prepared - even though it takes a while it’s definitely worth it. The best rendang I’ve ever had! Lovely friendly family atmosphere.

We had a lovely meal and I especially appreciated the flavours if the rendang curry. We prefer this restaurant to some of the more western, touristy options available in Bukit Lawang.

Loved my time at this guest house. Local friends always coming and going, run by a beautiful Indonesian family. Super relaxed with a lovely seating/dining area where you can chill all day. Central location not too far from all the action but far enough away...not to be kept up all night by live music on a Saturday night (which is great, go along the musicians are fabulous!) Also close by the local carving gallery and the adjoined art studio which has some amazing work and a small range of jewellery. Take a look around. The wood carver and his team are wonderfully friendly and happy to show you how they carve the reclaimed timber they find in the river and jungle. The perfect souvenir! I also got my small organutans carved key ring back into Australia easily, I just declared and they said it was fine. One of the nicer places to stay for a very reasonable price! Super comfortable!More

We came here for dinner and ordered the passion fruit, banana shakes, the sambal eggplant, and vegetable spring rolls. The shakes were very yummy and the food looked good. Unfortunately, while we were waiting for it to cool, a monkey came and stole our spring...rolls and stepped in the eggplant. They did not offer to remake the food and still asked full price for the meal, only apologizing for the monkeys.More

This place is close to where my hostel was, finally stopped by for a beer. The place was okay, the crying babies did detract, but hey, somebody has to watch the kids. I got to wondering if the parents would say or do anything with...the kids, they really didn't, after a beer, I headed on down the trail. Regarding accessibility, it would be tough to get a wheel chair to this area, but if you did, you could certainly enter this cafe.More

We had a delicious vegetable curry here. We enjoyed the first one so much we came back and had it again! It was freshly cooked with great flavours. The staff were very friendly and attentive, the decor is nice, and it occupies a good spot...near the river. Excellent value for money.More
