If you look for fish this is probably a good option in Sami. Maybe the fish is a bit overcooked, like everywhere in Kefalonia, but the quality is good, the service is efficient, the seaview is nice and good value for money. I recommend the fritto misto specially. The place doesn't look so exagerately touristic like the others in the area... More

With the waterfront at Sami bursting with restaurants, it's easy to imagine there's not much between them. Nevertheless, Akrogiali, the one at the far end, is well worth a visit. I love to eat fresh seabass and a conversation in my limited Greek with the owner revealed various sizes of lavrakia in his chiller cabinet. 15 minutes later the smallest... More

We came here on our holiday and had to come back a 2nd time as it was delicious! The courgette croquettes were to die for and I loved the fish in tomato sauce with potatoes. Very traditionally Greek and 1 litre of decent red wine for €6!

Booked a table in advance as wished to have evening meal here on my birthday and it had seemed very popular on previous evenings when we'd walked past. Liked this as it has those lovely traditional Greek little white tables and rattan chairs.......... Most other venues in Sami have gone all modern furniture nowadays! Party of five had a variety... A very nicely positioned restaurant overlooking the sea. As you walk into Sami it's one of the first restaurants so possibly overlooked but think again the food was lovely and reasonably priced too. A good menu choice to suit all except no pasta which is not a negative. You are left alone and no hassle. I would recommend a visit... More

Had a quick lunch here. The sardines were great and so was the bread. This looked and tasted like a honest and reasonably priced family taverna, which was exactly what we were looking for.

This taverna was one of the best in Sami. The food was delicious, it tasted authentic and home cooked, the portions were just right (unusual it seemed as most of our meals were enormous) and the service was warm and friendly. This is one of the first restaurants you come to when walking in so its quieter and more peaceful... More

Nothing really special about this place - average food with below average service. Plenty better places close by.

Very popular place but for good reason. The meals are just delicious. Fresh marinated anchovies, grilled sardines, prawns, fish and of course the regular moussaka and baked vegetables. Good pricing. Yummo, we visited here a number of times during our 3 week visit.
