I've been living on and off on the island since 2003 and I had my own restaurant (7th Heaven/Séptimo Cielo) in Playa El Agua for almost 8 years....still I have been eating a lot out on other restaurants. May have open and for some reason closed, but Casa Caranta has been there for many years and they serve good food,... More

We just left the restaurant and we were robbed outside the restaurant. We were approached by a guy who we assumed was the guard watching the car. No one walked with us from the restaurant and when i tipped the guy, he grabbed my friend's necklace and ran away. We are very disappointed from the restaurant behavior which sent no... More

I took my mum for dinner and we ended up having a great time after a few mojitos. Best i have ever tried. The food was incredible as well. The staff is very friendly and happy to help you with the menu.

I make reservation for eight persons on Wednesday in order to go on Friday at 7pm, we got there 30 minutes earlier and wait outside the restaurant without no one who receive us. By the time of my reservation I decide to step in and ask for my table to one of the waitress, they make me wait for another... More

The place is colorful and interesting, but the bathrooms are not clean, the service is slow and without enough knowledge of the menu. The food was very good and the pasta is very special, because is homemade and with very good flavor a combination. The prices are Ok in relation with the food and the place. In my opinion, the... The decoration of the restaurant is really inspiring and worth a visit. The food is not world class but certainly value for money. We had spring rolls as starters - really tasty. Then different pasta for main course - okay. The chocolate for dessert - fantastic. As one of the few places on the Island they have all the wines... More

The atmosphere in this groovey Pampatar bistro (now the gastronomic centre of Margarita) with changeing paintings on the wall is buzzy and fun. They sensibly keep the options to 4 starters, 4 Linguine, and 4 mains, all carefully cooked with clever little drizzles of sauce round the outside of the plate. The fusion calamari cerviche was to die for. The... More

Having been an advocate of Casa Caranta for many, many years, I am sad to report that the standards have slipped in terms of service. Thankfully the food remains the same. We had looked forward to a return visit to Casa Caranta and had booked umpteen weeks in advance to guarantee a table. On arrival, we noted that the owner... More

Really cool restaurant with nice typical Margarita musicians playing romantic songs. Great place to take a loved. Lovely waiters. Great food and nice wine selection. 1 WARNING - the house wine served by the glass sucks bug time! Take a bottle.

Cozy restaurant with great dishes. It doesnt have a huge range of option, 5-6 choices for each course which makes it easier to choose what to eat. And they all sound delicious. We were 5 and ordered different dishes and we were all satisfied with what we got. If you are ever around you should definetly give it a try!
