We had lunch here on a stormy day so sat inside and sheltered from the weather- lovely selection of local dishes to try - my husband had swordfish and I had the octopus with the local speciality coconut sauce which is exquisite! We had soup...and croquets to start with and a lovely salad and rice and beans to accompany the meal - it was so generous the portions we just couldnt finish it.More

We were wondering if Buen Sabor would live up to it's #1 Trip Advisor rating - many restaurants don't. I am happy to say Buen Sabor met its rating. We had the Lobster (langoste) in a coconut sauce. It was delicious and plentiful for 2...people. They serve very large portions of rice and also include salad, bananna chips and fish soup. Quite the bargain if you split an entree.More

Not one extra value on the table after 3 weeks in Cuba. Expensive for nothing. At least, give me more quality. More impression more creation.

Went to have dinner on the open roof terrace. Although a little more expensive than other restaurants in town, the quality of the food and the excellent service made up for the difference! Later on during our week stay in Baracoa we went back. Again...excellent service and local dishes very well prepared and presented. Highly recommend this restaurant in Baracoa.More

We had dinner once at this restaurant. We liked the food and the atmosphere but thought it was a little bit touristic. They also have a band playing music on the terrace.

The “Good Flavour” is a rooftop private restaurant with a reasonable menu and wait staff that have fluent English as a bonus. The food is fresh and thoughtful, albeit constrained by ‘rationales’. The octopus was really good and all dishes come with rice with beans...and salad which makes it quite good value. Overall, good gear- give them a go.More

Service was extremely friendly, prompt and helpful, and our meal as good as we were served anywhere in Cuba. We both started with (included) fish soup, followed by swordfish in coconut sauce, both of which were marvellous. The local flan desert (also included) was also...one of the best we have ever had. Live music, excellent cocktails and a great atmosphere made for a wonderful and surprisingly inexpensive evening. A must when in Baracoa.More

We chose this restaurant because of all the recommendations but we were not disappointed. The staff are lovely and are fluent in several languages. The meal includes soup and main with rice, salad and plantain chips. At CUC$12-CUC$15, I call that good value. Both times...we dined there there was a good traditional Cuban trio playing, but on one visit, later on, two of the staff played and sang which was really lovely; they were good and sang a mixture of traditional and popular stuff, altogether a wonderful evening. Try to book and ask for a table on the terrace, it's a great spot.More

Really nice food, lovely cocktails and great service. Nothing more to add. There seems to be a bit of a local competition between this place and La Colina which is visible from here. Keeps everybody on their toes!! Excellent.

Our casa host recommended this restaurant and it was as good as suggested. We hadn't booked but arrived early and the staff were very accommodating shifting tables around to get us out on the roof top terrace. This is a busy and successful restaurant so...do try to book or as we did get there early. The food was nice but not the best we had eaten in Cuba, I had expected better but it would be difficult to criticise anything in particular just not outstanding. It was also a bit expensive but Baracoa is stuck out at the far end of Cuba so getting produce in might be more difficult and so expensive. The staff were very nice, the location good.More

Our group visited Baracoa again last week and, based on last year's experience, wanted to eat at El Buen Sabor once more. We were not disappointed and actually made several trips to the restaurant for dinner. Jairo took care of us several times and related...his personal experiences during hurricane Matthew in 2016. Each evening, we were pleased to have duo Tony and Melecio, aka Voces de Miel, providing their great guitar music and singing. The food at El Buen Sabor is well-prepared and the service is excellent. Seating outside near the street normally gives a nice cooling breeze as a bonus. The "cherry on top" as it turns out is the almond ice cream. Everyone was looking forward to this as the finale for the evening. We will return to El Buen Sabor during our next visit to Baracoa...!!More
