A really lovely place for a chilled out Sunday lunch. We ate a huge selection of traditional dishes from the menu and everything was delicious.

If you are looking to get out of the more populated/touristy areas, this town is a great place to go. There's quite a bit to do in the area (vineyards/art workshop) and this restaurant is definitely a wonderful place to grab some lunch or dinner! The staff was very nice and welcoming. We ate plenty of delicious Greek food, and... More

Maybe we got a bad day after looking at the other reviews, but feel compelled to make our comments. We have been travelling around Crete for 2 weeks and there have been consistent features of all food places - great fresh food with varied local flavours and excellent service (sometimes a little slow, but always attentive and helpful). But when... More

Located only 8 km from Knossus Palace in the small village of Peza. It was easy to find with free on street parking. The service was very good & the local food was delicious. As with the rest of our trip to Crete from Australia to commemorate the 75th anniversary of the Battle of Rethymon in WW2 which involved family... More

We were taken here by our tour guide, and were presented by an incredible array of Cretan food. Mostly grown in the garden, yoghurt made on site. The red wine is fantastic (intense berry aroma and flavour, high alcohol but well balanced. Delicious!) Delicious raki and syrup steeped fruit to finish. Truly incredible!!

We went there a couple of times. The food is just great and quite authentic. The prices are reasonable and the service good.

Lovely atmosphere and terrific food. The owners and staff could not of been more helpful in our meal selection. They were most gracious.

After an unsuccessful attempt to find Minos Winery (a correction to Google maps has been submitted), we stumbled on this taverna near the center of town, with a mix of tourists and locals (a wedding celebration, we were told by the owner). The food was a cut above a typical taverna; and the service was excellent and helpful. The fried... More

My Husband and I were on our way to visit a winery in a near by village when we stopped in the small town of Peza for lunch/directions. Well, what a great decision! We stoped at the a small public square with a pretty church, and right across the road we saw Taverna Onisimos. Headed in and we were greeted... More

We stopped here by chance on our way to a wine tasting estate which we found close. And thank god we did, this place is amazing. The owners are really nice and their wine is stellar (they produce red wine). It was so good that we decided to buy a bottle. Food is great, highly recommended.
