Easy parking. Sticky tables. Old fashioned menu. A place to go if you can't be bothered to cook for yourself but you're not celebrating anything. Language of locals can be quite colourfull and loud - not a good combination.

We arrived a bit late (for England) and when we asked if they were still serving food were told certainly not a problem. The landlady and her daughter were really friendly and helpful. On the menu were a good range of traditional homemade mains, starters and sides plus the chefs specials on a blackboard. I chose the Ham egg &... More

We had a terrible evening at this pub and couldn't recommend it to anyone. I went to have dinner there with my partner. Things got off to a bad start when her selected dish was unavailable so she chose an alternative (chicken with peppercorn sauce). Just before the meal was served she was advised that there was no sauce so... More

The food was well cooked and obviously home-made, the portion sizes were adequate, the steak and ale pie was NOT however a pie, it was what some establishments like to advertise as a pie, a bowl of meat and gravy with a very thin pie crust on. The new potatoes were not quite cooked through, but the chips were excellent.... More

Got a bit lost on the way, but worth the detour! Lovely food, great service. Portions exactly right - but you might want to share dessert! Locals very chatty and friendly, so too is Elmo the Labrador 😄.

Only visited a couple of times for a drink. Beer well kept and selection changing all the time. The landlords pleasant must try the food which seems reasonably priced. The only negative comment I will make that there were two large dogs which I believe belong to the pub in the sitting area which were vocal and moving around alot.

We enjoyed our meal, well cooked and good portions. We tried the sausages and mash and steak pie. Nice glass of Merlot and Adnams beer! Friendly hosts recently moved from North London which is where I am from and we were looking around the area for the future. Would definitely return on our visit to beautiful Suffolk

Unusually visited here before researching on Trip Advisor and very pleased we took the chance. Lovely welcome from the owners in a characteristic country pub with a roaring open fire on a very chilly day. Service was very prompt and friendly. Myself and my girlfriend both had the fish and chips which was very nice and a generous portion. Main... More

Brian, April and Shelagh will make you very welcome in this their first pub. Looks like there is a long way to go for them but we could'nt fault our wonderful Sunday Lunch. Brian is starting to provide a good choice of beers etc and there is a friendly atmosphere. Local pubs cant survive without local support so give em... More
