Great winelist but at best mediocre food. Pizza (Diavola) was not good tastes like "grandiosa". Drink wine and avoid the food!

Amazing wine list with incredible choice is why we chose to visit. We had a great sharing board to start. One of us ordered a soup to start and it just didn’t turn up... they ran out apparently which we found out when we asked...why it never came. Main courses of duck and wild elk & deer stew were delicious. Some of the veggies could have been a little more cooked but flavour couldn’t be faulted. We would have had dessert but one of the two dessert were sold out!! Overall a bit disappointing if we are honest. It’s not like they were full and extremely busy. Then when it came time for our shuttle home the driver had disappeared 😳More

Lovely setting on mountain; good and very comfortable as a pit stop for lunch. Much nicer than the canteens on the mountain or at the foot of the lifts. Really good pizza and amazing ambience if you get into the restaurant area. We went twice...during our week long ski trip and were not disappointed.More

Good food un in the mountains of hemsedal. Good selection of home made pizzas and genuine and Italian influenced options in a la carte. Burgers downstairs very tasty and good dinner option on Friday and Saturday

My daughter and I used to stop here to take kakao (hot chocolate) and kanelboller (cinnamon buns). Skigaarden is well located in the skiing area, and modern in style. However, price is a bit high, so no top score.

Surely I find this place as a corner of paradise in the mountains of Hemsedal, perfect ski resort for families, couples, groups of friends. The resort is a perfect mix between cottage style and refinement, built with great taste !! Very qualified and professional staff,...kind and friendly, this is important to feel welcomed and pampered !! Restaurant, we had a great experience, absolutely fantastic food, really high quality, carefully selected, a choice of incredibly fused ingredients for a really delicious palate experience, gourmet pizza .... wooooow .... one of the best pizzas that have eaten in norway, great competence and creativity in the presentation of the dish, certainly food prepared with love and passion !!! Chefs and staff very pleasant and helpful .... what to say, we will definitely be back !!! Thanks for everything, we will be back very soonMore

I’ve been eating at this beautiful restaurant several time and each time I was very satisfied. In the weekends the restaurant is really busy but the service and the food is always on spot. I tried the vintergryte and was a perfect meal for a...cold snowy day. The pasta offers are also good, the best bolognese sauce I ever taste! The pizzas here are excellent. Highly recommendedMore

This place has a decent pizza menu and the pizza is good. It’s a bit over priced but it’s not bad price compared to normal Norwegian prices. Stay away from the cinnamon buns, they are very dry and there are better in the ski resort.

There is a sit down restaurant here, with table service. I can't talk about that. We ordered the pizza at the counter, some beer and a salad. Each were fine. Service was friendly. And sitting in the sun on the deck was lovely. The restaurant...is a bit to the side of the resort, easy to ski to but I imagine it doesn't get the crowds that the other places get, at base or top of 8 chair. That plus pizza may be reason enough to eat here.More
