We were apprehensive about eating here as we'd heard about the bad reputation of the previous owner who had sold up. But, new owners, so we thought we'd give it a go. Unfortunately, it's still not good. The service was curt, possibly because of our...More

Difficult to be critical of this little place because of its location. In fact it's amazing that such a well stocked shop with cafe attached is here. Amazing Hebridean hospitality with a chat, coffee and a salmon sandwich. Clean toilets too, seems to be a hub for...More

The property was up for sale when I visited (and still is as I write) which might explain the slow service in the tea room. The food was fine though and if you get into the spirit of the Hebrides way of 'being' and aren't...More

Friendly service and great for toasties, soups etc. and a chance to buy local produce in the small shop attached to the cafe.

Enjoyed a return visit and sampled coffee and cake whilst on holiday last week and as usual given 5 star service from Morag. My only disappointment was that we could not return for lunch to have the tomato and lentil soup.

We came on this place by chance after a long walk, very friendly, good cakes and tea were exactly what we needed (along with the loo and a chance to sit and recover).

Soup and Bacon sandwiches pretty awesome too. Get there early or you won't get served before the ferry leaves!

Good soup, nice tasting crab, no garnish with the sandwich and a bit expensive. Connected to a shop. Would be nice to sit outside if weatherer and midges allowed. Good cakes.

We had some time to wait for our ferry so decided to visit the Teamroom based on TripAdvisor recommendations. As soon as we arrived we felt unwelcome, we were not served at the table and had to visit the counter to place the order. The...More

Description
The Lobster Pot tearoom is a lovely spot to stop for either a snack or a meal. It is situated just north of the Calmac ferry pier to Harris on the island of Berneray. Food is excellent. It is an ideal place to sit and wait if you are too early for the ferry or if you are in the hostel on Berneray. Views from the tearoom are lovely, especially if it is an nice day and you are sitting on the picnic benches outside. The ladies in the tearoom are lovely - especially when nattering away in Gaelic!
