The Kaffestugan Svarta Katten is a small charming cafe. I liked the mixed decor with old-fashioned furniture.
I got a salmon toast and coffee; the toast was perhaps little bit over toasted but all in all it was good sized and tasty (light lunch) The...staff was friendly.More
Really fascinating and idyllic small cafeteria close to Mariehamn pedestrian street. Wide seleccion of glutein free cakes as well as panncake. You can also have Your lunch there. We ate ptotato from owen with Salmon sauva which was excellent.
I absolutely love this little cafe in a traditional Mariehamn wooden house. The food is so good--simple, fresh, and tasty. Portion sizes are perfect, not too small and not too large. The staff are super friendly and always ready to help with the menu. The...Åland pancake is pretty good and their cinnamon rolls are to die for! Whenever I'm on Mariehamn I find myself in this cafe at least once a day, even if it's just to pick up another delicious cinnamon roll for later.
It's easy to walk right past this little cafe and not realize what you're missing inside, so keep an eye out for the Black Cat and give this cafe a try.More
We arrived to Åland a little before two in the afternoon and looked for a place still serving lunch. Svarta Katten sounded like good option, and it was great.
We both ordered baked potatoes, but with different filling. Both were very tasty.
The atmosphere is...laid back and the staff are friendly and seemed genuenly happy to be there. I will try to return in the future.More
This cafe is located quite near the city center (less than 5 minutes walk). Great place for lunch. I had toast with chicken filling and salad. It had two slices of bread with lots of filling! Super tasty. The price was quite normal for this...island: 9,50€. Lots of gluten-free options, this one was gluten-free as well.
The building doesn’t look very fancy outside, but the furnishings inside are beautiful. :) You can also sit outside if you like.More
Located in a cute, old house, Svarta Katten always provides good food, friendly service in a lovely atmosphere. They have a permanent menu and weekly menu, as well as cakes and buns, so it's nice to visit any time of the day. During the Summer,...they also have tabled out in the garden to enjoy one of the few sunny days in Nordics.More
