Stopped in while walking the Camino. A wonderful refined evening after a fair few nights of pilgrim menus. We came in soon after opening time (our fault !) and were shown to the lounge to sit for a while as the kitchen was not yet ready to serve... Some items were not available as we are getting to the end... More

Having spent a week in Madrid, then San Sebastián, and now walking to Camino with a girlfriend, I have to give this restaurant top marks for food but not value. We did the menus of the day at 25e and we were given one beer and a small glad of wine. We had to ask for bread. Then got local... More

Speaking very little Spanish was an impediment for the first 2 minutes. Very quickly I was attended to by the owner. With his help, we navigated the menu. I started with an appetizer from the chef. A pork pate with blue cheese from the province of Palencia An incredible gazpacho soup followed. The soup was served atop a scoop of... More

A must when visiting this area in Spain. It's a little pricey but totally worth it. The owner and his family are personally taking care and serving the clients. We ordered what they suggested and didn't make a mistake. Since I'm a sweet tooth, I specially enjoyed their arroz con leche with cinnamon ice cream. Delicious!!!

Went there with wife while on the the Camino Santiago. Went there based on the Trip Advisor review. Bad mistake. On Thursday night, only other customers in the restaurant were another couple doing the Camino. No locals showed up. Cafeteria quality food at New York City prices. Go for pilgrims menu when in Fromista. Will save you 100 euros and... More

This place is very unassuming, and easy to walk by as they are not pushy or pretentious. But WOW ! What a find in such a small town ! Outstanding local fare and excellent wines, this family business is a labor of love. Very friendly and helpful staff who do speak English. A real find for traveller or pilgrim alike.

We were walking the Camino de Santiago and were delighted to find this wonderful traditional restaurant. The dining room was absolutely spotless and the tables simply and beautifully laid. The service was impeccable. The wonderful fresh mushroom salad to start with was the waiter's excellent recommendation and my husband had pigeon. I then had roast lamb (a very generous portion)... A truly excellent experience on the camino was the fine dinning of this spectacular restaurant. Despite the fact that we all showed up in our pipgrimme closes, the service was perfect, and we enjoyed a very delicious meal in the historic settings.

This was a great high end restaurant on the camino, with excellent service and an extensive menu and wine list. Great regional choices, well prepared and presented. Highly recommended!
