I don't know where to begin. The staff was warm and friendly. The chef was engaging and lovely. Now to get to the food. I have never tasted so many delectable flavors in fish and local produce in my life. I'm saving to return back to scicli to come back and repeat my experience.

We sat outside on the plaza and it was a perfect weather night. We were with a large group, and so we asked the waiters to bring us a sampling of appetizers and dinner entrees. The wait staff was helpful and courteous. (we ate next door at the other outside restaurant another night and had the opposite experience with their... More

Here's the thing, after a week in Sicily I'm not sure I like Sicillian cuisine. It's wholesome, healthy, often fish-based (which I usually love) but altogether it's rather worthy and lacking in fun. So with that backdrop, necessary to provide some context to our final night in Scicli, what about Satra? The place is small but a lovely mix of the... More

Great dishes with fresh products and original combinations. Definitely try the spaghetti with tuna, the clams or the zuchini hazelnut starter. Staff is very friendly and their wine list offers some original picks.

We were there as a party of four and had a wonderful time. Attentive service and delicious and creative dishes that scream freshness and detail! Loved it and they also offer gluten free options for guests with celiac diet.

After we ordered our meals we realised that the terrace was empty, compared to the adjacent restaurant. Fish of the day was a tiny filet of de frozen fish, bathing in the so called potato puree, that resembled more to a gravy than to a puree. My husband had a beefsteak that was as hard a leathersole. But the worst... More

First off, the positives: lovely position (you get to sit outside in the summer - so be warned that it could be spoiled by smokers if you are not one) in the main pedestrian street in Scicli, and two very lovely waiters. Lovely however does not necessarily means up to it (if you are presenting yourself as a fine dining,... More

One of the best dining experiences in Sicily. Lovely outdoor setting, very nice staff and chef, perfect food. The smoked pasta was great. Not to be missed!

The menu lists several interesting sounding dishes, even if they are very repetitive in terms of ingredients. All those we tried did not deliver very much in terms of flavour. They were just OK. This applies especially to the primi we tried, 'cavati' (a pasta shape) with tomato, aubergine and ricotta 'infornata' (baked), where the tomato was a ghost; and... More
