We had a wonderful dinner, seated outside on an evening when most had decided to eat inside. Staff were nonetheless attentive and we enjoyed the personal space. The food is very imaginatively presented and obviously served with great pride - for this, it is also very good value. The starters in particular were exceptional. Highly recommended.

We had a lovely meal here. You will not be disappointed. Nice ambiance and surroundings. English speaking restaurant owner was very attentive and helped us choose great meals. I had the squid (excellent) and my friend had a beautifully presented meal. The chef appeared during the meal to check all was okay. Try this restaurant!

Went on a recommendation from Viviana at Planeta Buonovini winery. Had spent a hot afternoon and evening touring baroque Scicli and we're tired when we went to dinner. We were expecting something basic and man, were we surprised. Both had a pasta dish made with tiny squares of carob flour pasta, eggplant, small local tomatoes, her's with prawns, mine vegetarian.... We were part of an Australian food tour and recently visited this restaurant. The atmosphere and decoration was excellent but the food was ordinary. It was very noisy and hard to hear due to excessive notice from other diners. The restaurant owners should consider noise dampening procedures for their restaurant. Food was good, not outstanding.

Great choice in Scicli. Chef made custom menu for us for 35 Euros pp. Couldn't finish it, and all was excellent. Located in an old granary. Best to like fish.

Read some reviews and decided to give this a try and am sure glad we did!! Not a huge restaurant so the staff have the opportunity to spend time with you and the atmosphere does not feel rushed in the slightest. We started with a mixed appetizer platter which offered a mixture of nine different food items, mainly seafood based... More

We had been recommended this restaurant by staff at a hotel. We drove to Scicli to find Al Galù. It is situated in a narrow quaint alley. Outside were a few tables but we opted to sit inside. The ambience of the restaurant is nice and welcoming…….but that’s not all we came for. On entering the restaurant we saw fish... More

we tried a typical sicilian cusine with a twist in the nice place of Al Galu and I still remember the bread made in house, especially the one with sepia and the salty canolo, yummy!!!!

This place seems like a family run business and in my opinion is worth a try in Scicli. Probably your best shot is to try all the starters. Friendly staff and welcoming place.

We were recommended to eat here but the food turned out to be quite disappointing really - not to say it was bad but just not to our taste. The starters were pretty bland and the pasta we both had for main was made with the carob bean and had a distinctive taste - not unpleasant but not amazing either... More
