Upon sitting down, we received yummy breadsticks & focaccia with oils to dip in. We had an early seating (6.15pm) so had attentive staff.
Fresh pastas with real tomato tasting sauces. If you can’t choose a pizza, you can choose your own toppings. The meal sizes are generous. Coffee was good too :) ...not many places on the island that make good coffee.

We celebrated my mother’s birthday at the restaurant and it was n great experience. The service is excellent and the food was out of this word. All the dishes that we ordered was great, the staff went out of their way to accommodate each person and they made the night very special.

Very large, busy italian restaurant with an enormous menu, set in the centre of this chaotic beach area.
Overall the food was okay, I wouldn't say that it was anything special, but perfectly acceptable. Service was prompt but not very friendly, I think the busyness of the restaurant took some of the personal service element away.
The concierge service however was very good.
We enjoyed the evening, but to be honest, wouldn't rush back.

We were staying at the Amari Palm reef and were given a voucher for a meal at Prego's. We turned up having booked a table and the whole vibe - service especially just felt off. It seemed like no one really knew who was looking after our table, the drinks took a really long time to come and then we had to remind them that one was still missing. No one seemed to care. This may sound like a winge, but the prices in this place are not cheap and you expect a reasonable level of service. I ordered a build your own Pizza, as a vegan this meant I could pick exactly what topping etc I wanted and they did vegan cheese. The meals finally turned up for the four of us after a long wait, again no one came to tell us why we were waiting such a long time. I began to eat my vegan pizza and as I started chewing...noticed something wasn't quite right..there were small pieces of chicken on it!! As it is quite dark in there I hadn't noticed but soon did as I started chewing. I called the waitress over and explained she didn't seem that bothered and just said she'd get me another one, it did arrive and much quicker than the original one had. All in all the staff weren't interested in the customers, not just us but other tables as well. Would I go back there??? Absolutely not. Would I recommend it???? Absolutely not.

I am sorry to hear about your recent dining experience and that any of our staffs seemed short with you on your visit. I usually ensure every guest who walks in feel welcome at Prego, and it was a shame that you were not offered a dish you specifically ordered, and absolutely unacceptable that you did not receive the right service-minded attitude after commenting on it.
I would like to assure you that your experience is one which we are not proud and, as you may see from other reviews it is quite atypical. At Prego, we constantly strive to ensure our service as well as food and drinks offered are kept to a high standard. Following your comments, I will be personally addressing these issues with my team to ensure this will not happen in repetition and that we provide a great experience to all our guests.
Once again, I do apologise for letting you down on this occasion. I hope that you will revisit so we can make amends in some way for your disappointment.

To start with, food is a bit expensive. It is ok, if the taste and service are exceptional.
THB 750 x 2 = 1500 for 2 person Truffle Risotto completely shattered my expectations in taste and quality
Service was okay even though they messed up with 2 of our orders and later rectified it.
Looking at all the good reviews, I think and I would like to believe, that it is a one off issue. They were also very busy.
Unfortunately I would not visit again.

Ate here on New Years eve. It is a lovely looking restaurant and the it is part of the hotel we are staying in. The service very good with pleasant staff but the food wasn't great. My daughters simple pasta dish with salmon - the pasta wasnt cooked properly. I had veal and it was dreadful three tiny slivers with a tablespoon of ratatouille to accompany it. It was a pricey dish too and overall it was too pricey in comparison to everywhere else we tried.

The setting is beautiful. The staff was is smiling and attractive. The food is ok, but I probably made the wrong choice. Pasta is offered in small and large sizes at different prices. HOWEVER, the small carbonera was in fact larger than the large vongole which was 1/2 shells with the smallest clams imaginable. It was uninspired with no characteristic flavour. My husband enjoyed his pasta with ragout of lamb - but it was skimpy on the lamb.
The bill with 2 glasses of wine was on a par with N A prices and totally not worth the money when in Thailand.

The pizza itself is just fabulous, but the best experience I have here is the great service. I've been living in Phuket for 2 years, and I haven't found one place like Prego, with such good quality food and great service attitude. Seriously, it's not expensive--considering basically all the other places you go in this whole area will still charge you minimal 5 dollars per one dish. Funny thing, during the COVID 19 period, so many tourists were gone, and nearly all the restaurants on this street was closed, except Prego still opens. Yes, indeed only the strong and lucky can survive.

Prego is a restaurant making a humbling post lockdown effort to serve its customers just like it did before. We only wanted wine and pizza but felt super special and it didn't matter that the restaurant was quiet. The pizza was great too - proper thin crust Italian. Definitely a place to eat out to help out.

A well-established name among the restaurant scene in Koh Samui. Service is attentive and efficient, food was well cooked and nicely presented. I had minestrone soup, a fish main course and we brought a bottle of wine (the corkage fee was reasonable given the restaurant has a pretty decent wine selection on-site). I Will be back and recommend

A lovely, modern Italian restaurant in the heart of busy Chaweng Beach Road. It was a delight to find a restaurant that had a gluten free menu, and the al a carte menu being marked accordingly - fab!
We visited twice during our stay in Koh Samui and was not disappointed, although the service was somewhat slow on our second visit (understandably it was `Valentines Day so busy!). I had a scrumptious gluten free pizza on my first visit, which unfortunately was too big for me, I only managed to eat half of it. On our second visit we had a steak which was cooked to perfection.
Chef Piero spent time with us talking about their standards of training and in particular managing a separate gluten free environment. We did remark it was unfortunate that gluten free Peroni was not available, given that they stocked Peroni, and he did promise to look into it, although there does seem to be quite a problem in Thailand importing any drinks, evidenced by the high prices. Staff were great, food was lovely, I felt very safe with the food and would definitely go back if I am ever in Koh Samui again - thank you for being very gluten free friendly!

We walked passed this place a few nights & thought it was extremely expensive looking with its gorgeous candlelit and modern interior, with a lot of staff working there. We wanted a change from all the classic Thai food restaurants & this place did not disappoint. Excellent very quick service with even better food! The pizzas are to die for, the best we’ve had in Koh Samui & 100% value for money.

We had dinner here in February 2023 and have to say we were really disappointed. The complementary bread was dry, the tomato sauce s salty, pesto ok.
Our starters of mussels and seafood risotto were average at best and even though we didn’t eat around half, none of the waiting staff or managers came to check if everything ok.
Main course was worse, my Calzone was black on the bottom and completely inedible but again despite me turning the burnt side upwards the staff just walked past and asked if we want the bill.
My partners spaghetti bolognaise was again salty and we left hungry but we’re still presented with a bill for around £70 despite no alcohol but service and tax added. I wish I had checked before going, lovely looking restaurant, staff are smart and clean but food and service awful.

We read a bunch of reviews and advertorials on this place so decided to give it a go. I chose the signature Risotto which was suppose to have talegio in it but was instead a gluey unattractive mess ladened only with Parmesan cheese. Not an award winning risotto. Pizzas were good and other pastas were too. Service wasn’t attentive and also not very experienced. Lovely venue and away from hustle and bustle.

This restaurant was recommended by our hotel. We didn’t book a table and even though we arrived early (before 7pm) we had to eat inside an room with air conditioning (which wasn’t as pleasant as the tables outside) so I recommend making a reservation. The restaurant is well decorated and quite big. I admit I thought it was a tourist trap but I was surprised with the taste of the food and the excellent service. I highly recommend the prawn risotto which is a chef special.
