My husband and I quite often pop in here for food. This time we went in with 7 of us! The food was still fantastic, service amazing and staff friendly and welcoming. I would definitely recommend this pub!!! Just remember to duck!!

Very old listed building with low ceilings so watch your head, We had the small room at the from about 14 of use for lunch, service first class, food very good and reasonably priced 3 courses for £15.95. Everyone enjoyed the food good and varied choice. Would recommend Jan & Harry

July 16. Party of 17 Pre-booked. Pre-ordered. This is a lovely quaint country pub typical of the ilk around this part of the country. The bar is the central hub and rooms lead off in all directions. It's currently a JW Lees establishment and the beer drinkers in our party were very happy with the choice available. With us being... More

Had a brilliant late lunch/early tea today the Seared Sea Bass with prawn saffron risotto was excellent - hubby had the fish & chips and loved it. The service was excellent as always.

We have eaten here a few times recently, as only recently discovered it and the food is so good. It's hard to find places that cater well for vegetarians, as well as meat eaters and this place certainly delivers. The staff are lovely, friendly and bring food and drinks to the table. Food is locally sourced and home made, The... More

My partner and I were looking to go for a nice pub meal somewhere different, took to trip advisor and found there were so many good reviews for here so we came on a Saturday night for dinner, The service was second to none, seated straightaway and offered drinks, given plenty of time to have a look at the menu... Decided to go here for a meal early one Friday evening. This pub was certainly hard to find, but was worth the effort. Arrived there at 5, and managed to get a table even though we hadn't booked. Thank goodness that we didn't arrive any later, as by 6 the pub was full. On that note we would recommend anyone... More

We visited this inn as we were stopping for the night in Frodsham and after seeing the fantastic reviews we chose to eat here. Service is friendly with the landlord having a chat over the bar and so interested in what we had been doing that day. We were just disappointed that we had missed the scarecrow festival linked to...
