Very attentive service. Some nice local craft beers. Food was fine. But you have to go just for the setting. Under the trees on a blue water beach. Pretty much your vision of what a tropical vacation should look like.

This little restaurant is easy to get to, great ocean front view, charming seating on the beach, amazing staff, swings, hammocks, great music and pretty good food. The food is expensive and nothing special. The spot is fantastic. Mixed emotions because if it were cheaper,...More

Our party of four ate here last week while on vacation in Costa Rica. The setting was fabulous - literally right on the beach, waves crashing, sun setting, and a small island band playing in the background. The service was great - the manager stopped...More

We spent a delightful afternoon at Father Roosters. Our waiter, Gerald, was very friendly and welcoming, made wonderful food recommendations, spoke excellent English and assisted us with scheduling our beachside massages with Betty. She was excellent by the way and charged us $30 for one...More

Went for dinner with our two small kids. Beautiful setting in the beach- swings and sand when they got tired of sorting which let us relax and enjoy ourselves. Service was great and some of the best food on our trip.

Hello and thank you for your message. Sorry, we close every year on December 24 to give our staff a family day. THe 25th starts the Fin de Año rush where we are quite busy. We are open all days prior and post 24. Steve

Description
Father Rooster is the premier beachfront bar & restaurant on the northern Pacific coast of Costa Rica. The location and scenery combined with top quality (yet very simple) food and our famous frozen drinks makes Father Rooster a must see on your next visit to Costa Rica. This is the place where the locals and tourists sit side by side sipping cocktails, eating fresh Mahi-mahi and Tuna and watching the sunset over the Pacific. This is the place where Hemmingway would have hung his hat and the place that Buffet would write songs about. Its the place that you have been looking for all of your life... Come on in, and enjoy!
