The restaurant is situated near the sea front. There is a good choice of local food which was well cooked. It is a family run restaurant which is unassuming.

We stopped here on a tour around Agrigento and the Valley of the Temples. Really nice place, with good food and drink.

We went to the restaurant with our 3-year-old daughter. The staff was nice and offered a baby seat. The food was tasty. Especially the sword fish alla Messina was a good choice. We also had local appetizers (ok), pizza (good) and white wine. We would go there again. A nice place for a family.

Dived in here on Sunday night as it had spare table, we were ready to eat and the town was heaving. Complimentary drinks on arrival, pleasant staff and reasonable food. Nothing to write home about but ticks all the boxes in an amicable way.

Of course we just had to eat al fresco but as soon as we sat down it became obvious the place was a tourist trap. Only after realizing this, did I read the reviews for this place and expected the worst. Like another reviewer, I found it edible but won't be back. The verdura of the antipasto rustico was very... We didn't go hungry, the food was perfectly edible but it didn't make me want to come back. We paid €20 a head for two courses with some table wine, OK but not great value.

Like at least one other person on here we were recommended this place by our tour guide. I knew something was going wrong when the order was taken so i asked for it to be confirmed and it was as we had ordered, so all seemed ok. Starters, mine was good my wife's not so good. For main my wife... More

We wanted a local place and picked this family run restaurant. Pizza, pasta and Fritos misto were all good. We ended coming here the next night. The service was good and the owner very helpful.

We were recommended to this restaurant by our tour guide, but didn't think much of it. It wasn't at all smart, but more of a cafe, with plastic chairs etc. Quite basic. The food (I had pasta and my husband fish) was OK, but the wine was terrible. There was apparently no wine list and we were given no choice... More

We just had lunch at Il Canale. I just had to write this review. It is first of all a total rip-off in terms of price/quality. They pull you into the restaurant as aggressive as they can. Once you give in, the nightmare starts. Fish has no taste. Salads are expensive but straight from a congelated package. All tomatoes taste... More
