Nice selection of food and house wine by the carafe was good value. The staff speak Greek, English and Russian and were accommodating. We stooped by for a quick drink, and ended up staying for a lazy dinner watching the sun go down.

We just ate a wonderful lunch. Excellent denise filet, wonderful and smiley service. highly recommend. Do not mix with the other captain nicolas in lixuri... it is a completely different place. some of the negative reviews here are related by mistake to the lixuri restaurant.

We chose this place because we wanted a breeze and refreshments after our visit to Spinalonga. It served its purpose, we had a mix of starters between us as a snack. It was all very nice what we had including squid, cheese pies etc. Cannot comment on any main meals. The service was friendly and quick so no complaints here.

We were not hungry, so had a couple of salads chosen from a wide range on offer. They were excellent!

Set in a beatiful position overlooking spinalonga we visited Captain Nicolias as a birthday treat. It is our favourite restaurant in Pkaka and we weren't disappointed. The food was fantastic, the staff were welcoming and attentive, couldn't do enough for us. Everything about the evening was perfect as it always is there. Thank you

Where shall we start, we were told we were very welcome until we sat down. Then once in the service was terrible. Miserable man served us but got all our food and drinks wrong, had to keep asking for service. Very very expensive for what we had. Just can't can't say enough about the terrible staff. One of the staff... More

Awful food. We eagerly ordered a traditional moussaka, hoping for a home cooked slice of Greece. What we got was a cold, stodgy plate of yesterday's leftovers. The staff weren't that interested once they'd coaxed us inside. A larger party were eagerly served at pace while we waited a long time for cold food! Never again, took 2 mouthfuls, paid... More

Just concluded wonderful time on Spinalonga island and were ready for a quick lunch. out of the several restaurants overlooking the island we picked up the Captain Nicolas. We had tasty Greek salads and garlic bread since it was again a very hot day. When we ot the bill we were amazed to see that the only place we paid... More

Of all the places we tried on our vacation, and we tried quite a few, this stands out as the best of all the restaurants in the village. The staff are very welcoming and friendly, the food is freshly made and tasty. The location, right by the water, is perfect. We were made to feel like old friends each time... More
