This is far and away the best restaurant in town. I'd go further and say it is very close to a Michelin one star. The food is creatively prepared and served and is invariably of a high standard. I note a welcome absence of snobbery on the part of staff and owners, something which can be an experience-spoiling problem when... More

This little restaurant is a real find. Reservations are necessary, but it is obvious why when you taste the food. I had the Dorade in a saffron sauce and it looked and tasted just like summer, fresh, light and delicious.

Nice outside with our four-legged. She liked the pan-fried rabbit (as I did) and was happy to sit under the table and watch the world go by. For us humans too it was a very comfortable lunchtime. Fish cooked to perfection, excellent crème brûlée and good looking boats across the way. Menu a bit restricted but competent home cooking and... More

This family busines certainly seems to have got the recipe right! Delicious home cooked food, beautifully and efficiently served, despite it being full at lunchtime and only 2 staff waiting at the tables. Good choices on the a la carte menu, complimented by the Plat du Jour menu. Reasonable prices, too! I'll definitely go back again when I'm in the... More

Since my last review back in November last year we have re-visited this place several times, and working our way through the menu and the regular specials we've never been disappointed with either the food quality, preparation or presentation. A warm welcome and consistently good service make the Petit St Trop a pleasure to dine at.

We took two couples for diner at this local restaurant located in the heart of this lovely town. The place is very clean, staff is friendly, attentive and the price is fair. What I ordered did not have much flavors whatsoever. Meat was not cooked as requested and the sauce bordelaise was too liquidy (French is my mother tongue so... More

It's not without good reason this is No1 rated in Briare. What do we look for in a restaurant? Charming hosts? Got it. Varied menu with high quality fresh food? Got it. Varied and reasonably priced wine list for all budgets? Got it. Value for money? Got that too. So there's the short version, it's been 4 years since we... More

This is a busy restaurant because of the wonderful food and fabulous location. We have sampled both the lunch and dinner menus and they were both superb, attention to detail with taste and presentation.
