Welcoming staff, limited menu but delicious food, after rather a long wait. Excellent wine. Will definitely be going again

A little gem - stopped here for lunch a couple of days as it was just what we wanted. Beautiful fresh salads with French bread! Walk through the shop to discover a lovely courtyard at the back! Staff friendly and efficient and managed to understand my broken French! Well done!

The staff are charming. The food is good, plentiful and reasonably priced. It's nothing special but it is pleasant local venue that is right for lunch or an evening meal.

Hit on this by chance in Riberac on a Monday where a lot was closed. Handily placed in Market Square near car parking. Had the set lunch menu, 3 courses for 13 Euros. Chilled cream of pea soup, Cod in a tomato and chorizo sauve and Creme Fraiche with home made jam. All delicious, fresh, and healthy. Friendly attentive service.... More

Had lunch here today for my birthday and it was lovely. Lovely atmosphere, really relaxed with the bustling market outside. Excellent food, delicious flavours, good presentation and no waiting. The waitress was very attentive and helpful and asked if we wanted her to speak french or english.....none of the speaking english back to you when spoken to in french. I... More

We arrived at our rented house near Riberac on a Sunday afternoon and discovered all the supermarkets were shut. By chance we picked le Chabrot and were so delighted we did. It was the perfect start to our holiday. Luckily they had a table (it is wise to ring in advance and make a reservation) and we had a very... More

Had lunch here on a rainy Sunday. Super entree: truffled egg cocotte. Plat: potatoes Sarlat (superb) and beef. Very friendly service, cosy atmosphere. We got there early, so we got a nice table at the window. Price very reasonable, surely for a place that centrally located in the heart of Riberac. The rain stopped bothering us.

My other half and I ate here one evening on a stopover in Riberac. We hadn't booked a table but the waitress was very accommodating. Service was impeccable, main meal and desserts were truly amazing. Could not fault anything.

Went here with my husband and parents last weekend and had an amazing meal. I believe it is run by a husband and wife team who could not be more pleasant and accommodating. I had the duck confit and my husband had what he could only describe as 'the best omelette he had ever tasted'!!! We are going back to... More

Le Chabrot is a place where we cook only fresh and principaly local food. A Small Menu à la Carte, Set menu and suggestions of the day. It's a little restaurant where it's better to book before.
