New season, new cuisinier, but same friendly reception from Cedric and Giselle. Another delicious meal. Indoors on March Sunday evening of course but looking forward to being able to eat in the lovely garden again later on.

The patio setting is lovely but the food does not live up to the environment. I think the team at Gironcedre needs to work on improving the 'wow factor' of their cooking. The meal was very average, not bad enough to complain about not good enough to finish the plate or to recommend to a friend.

We stayed in the village of Puymeras for a month and were ecstatic that Le Girocedre was such a lovely place, we ate there at least 5 times! The menu changes monthly, so it is difficult to recommend a specific plate. But with local seasonal ingredients, most are very good, at a very affordable price. The service is wonderful, and... I am so used to restaurants in France being excellent that I am no longer cautious -until tonight. I took my husband and our friend here for Father's Day. My dinner was quite good , but they both ordered the butcher's choice ( a la carte) and at 21 euros it was gristly, tough, and bad enough that we won't... More

dear madam, we are very sorry to have disappointed you so much. We apologize for making you taste the Charolais entrecote as bad. From there, to be part of bad restaurants in the area, I find your remark exaggerated but I respect your opinion. But it would have been easier for us to point out the same day, we could... More

Fine food but a limited menu. Excellent garden, so go there when it is warm enough to sit outside and enjoy the good service. If you can, order the Cote-Rotie, I forgot the producer but is was a red wine where I need to find out who the producer is (or a friendly customer looks it up for me).

I chose this restaurant because of the steak my wife loves it, but unfortunatelly there where no steak that week (they make everything really fresh from the best ingredients) But the waiter was so kind that he managed to get his portion so we ate it :) We had a great menu, nice location, very good vines, what wlse could... Beautifully presented food in a beautiful shady garden - however it is relatively expensive. Worth seeking out but expect to pay out!

The drive was worth it - Rick Steves recommended this very charming restaurant and it exceeded our expectations! Roast pork was the special of the day and it was one of the best meals of our entire 16 days in France. While we were eating a couple of cute friendly cats joined us and politely begged for scraps including one... More

We had a delicious meal here at the recommendation of the hotel in which we were staying. We arrived late and inquired about dinner. She made us a reservation and we took a lovely walk to it. The setting is spectacular eating under the trees and the food the best my husband a foodie had on our trip. The chef... More

Had a beautiful lunch menu at Le Girocedre after my parents have been raving about it for years. It's a wonderful quiet, shady garden to enjoy a good meal at lunch and I can imagine it to be atmospheric in the evenings with the lights and grill going. There is not a huge choice on the menu-but then everything is... More
