Well priced beer in a very friendly hotel located in the centre of Minden. Always make the effort to call in when in Canada and look forward to visiting in a few week’s time.

Family of four happened to be passing through Minden at lunchtime so we stopped here. Surroundings and the place itself were fine but the problems started when we were waiting for our food order to be taken. We waited and waited and eventually decided to just seek out the wait staff at the bar and order our meals. We also... More

In the quaint town of Minden, Ont., nestled in the main street among the many merchants, is a wonderful gem of a place...the Dominion HotelPub! My husband and I thoroughly enjoyed our 2 night(weekend) stay. There are 6 rooms, all cozy, clean and modern with a flair of country charm. Our lovely room had a very nice view of the... More

A local hostelry since 1865, they know a thing or two about feeding and watering patrons. Small dining room offers a slightly more refined experience, we typically go to the larger pub side. Same menu, different atmosphere. Drink selection is pretty good, many of the usual poor choices on tap, plus a fair few local Ontario brews. Prices are very... More

We have shared a few lunches and evening cocktails at The Dominion with friends and family this past summer and fall. The patio is spacious. My favourite is the Turkey sandwich and their sweet potato fries are great. My husband and son like the wings! The general mixed crowd and friendly staff, often with live music lends itself to a... We visited the Dominion Hotel at first looking for a room. They were full. After a cruise up and down the main street, we decided to return for dinner. At 7 pm on a Friday night, things were pretty slow, a few tables of locals inside as a band was getting set up, and a few tables of tourists on... More
