This is a lovely little restaurant down by the waterfront. Looking for somewhere to eat, and starting to get quite hungry I saw that there seemed to be a lot of English looking people sitting here and so wandered over to peruse the menu. I was surprised to see jacket potatoes on the menu, with some distinctly Maltese flavours. Wanting... More

Outside terrace well placed for looking over the harbour while having a drink or meal. Nice staff, good pizza & bruschetta. Worth a visit

We arrived here at 12:41 and we got our starter which nothing more than rate bruscetta at 14:20. The farfalle very not al dente but hardly cooked. The potato cauliflour soup is tasteless, a bit tasteless. The waitress very friendly and well educated. The place is wheel chair friendly. Service is very very slow. On the whole I do not... More

We visited Tate cafe/bar for an afternoon coffee. The lattes were excellent and cakes were highly recommended. The position is very good being right on the waterfront and staff were friendly despite having to cope with a lot of New Years Day visitors particularly from coach trips. Lemon meringue and carrot cake are highly recommended as are the cafe lattes!... More

Some unkind reviews of this place. My experience was great ,so good as i've said that i returned same day. Lunch was baked potato with cheesy beans.Portions are big.Is that a problem in these times of meanness? After museum hopping we went back for dinner. I had a large bowl of carrot and ginger soup with maltese bread. Delicious!! My... More

There aren't too many vegetarian restaurants in Malta. So we really wanted to check out The Tate. What a huge disappointment. 20 Minutes after ordering we had to change the main course because one of the main ingredients was finished. When they brought the starter, pumkin soup, we were surprised to see how thin it was. We tasted it and... More

We ate at this waterside restaurant in Birgu (Vittoriosa) in late September. A friend dragged us there having had it recommended to him by a couple he'd met the day before. As soon as we saw the tattered and torn menus and the offerings on it, we had deep misgivings. But our friend insisted, and so we sat down and... More

This vegetarian restaurant with nice terrace offers a good variety of snacks and meals for different tastes. As a carnivore found nothing to complain, especially burgers and pasta are amazing!

Service.. Not so good at all and the food is too expensive for its quality. The restaurant was empty.. Which shows why.. The lady/ waitress which was behind the bar was A bit of rude
