Ate lunch at Mulse. The upper-floor restaurant has a wonderful view over the coast. Service was prompt and friendly. The food was really excellent and interesting - a fusion of East and West. Both the beef dish and chicken stir-fry we ordered were great. Only one thing could have been better - a menu in English (though why should they?!); one restaurant we visited elsewhere had an English version on an i-pad - a really nice touch!

Went today for dinner, had papas bravas and a steak. The papas bravas were the best I've ever had, and the steak was cooked perfectly (medium rare of course). The service was excellent. The house wine (rioja) was super cheap and super good.

Having experienced many great lunches at Mulse we decided to drive 100km for lunch at this wonderful restaurant. The welcome was wonderful, and unbeknown to us the restaurant balcony area had been improved, much to our liking. We had a superb lunch, relaxing on the new balcony, in cool comfort, admiring the views over the wonderful beach.
It is rewarding to see such a very good restaurant continually investing and improving, and Mulse does that every time we go; in menu, staff, and facilities.
Having had such a wonderful lunch we returned a few days later. We were treated royally on both occasions (each visit involved a 200km return trip), and on the second visit we were treated to a special dish of beef, cooked for 24hrs, absolutely fabulous. (The starters of Malaga salad was also exceptional).
Mulse provides interesting and exciting dishes and has been rewarding on our every visit, even from great distance. We will return as soon as we possibly can.

This otherwise good place (we have eaten there many times in the past 3 years) will have to jack up their performance for the set lunches. Even at a lower price, it cannot justify the miserable salad, oversized boiled chicken with bar-b-q sauce smeared all over.
This followed by some yellow goo of unknown nature. All above, mostly left on the plates....

Beer on tap almost of the time, the bottled beer was cold.
Meat of poor quality and high price.
The other dishes we tried were good.
I think it's more of a place to have drinks or bottles of beer.

It started off nicely. Staff was friendly, though they didn’t speak english. We had the gratinated salmon and the duck margret. The salmon was okay, well cooked, but little taste. The duck was reasonably well cooked, but the orange sauce was way too bitter, and sweet. Both were very small dishes. After these two dishes we knew we woudn’t want to order any more food. So we decided to ask for the bill, so that we could fill our empty stomachs elsewhere.
When the bill arrived we were shocked to see that they charged us for the bread that they placed on our table. We didn’t even touch the bread, but were forced to pay for it even though we told this to the server (and weren’t asked if we wanted it).
All in all, the beer was good, but we paid way too much for very little and badly prepared food.

DO NOT MISS MULSE. We’ve been here 3 days in a row and the food is nothing short of extraordinary. The bread is artisanal, the fish fresh, the salads fantastic, the service also great. Don’t miss the tuna tataki. The goat cheese salad for the salad lover not to miss. With the local goat cheese. The local goat dish also not to miss! This may be one of the best restaurants on our recent tour of Spain. Very local. And a wonderful view of the ocean

Given the fact that I have very high standards regarding cuisine, I have to say this place is pretty darn good. Nowhere in Rincon or La Cala del Moral will you find anything as equally trendy, high quality, and with a sophisticated ambiance like this place.
The bar downstairs is great for a pre or post drink, but the restaurant is the winner. Love the fusion food (think Tuna tataki, fish and chips with a Spanish touch, etc.), and the service is also pretty nice. Highly recommendable.

Nice place
The food is good , a bit more expensive than other places near by but the food is fresh and they offer different dishes with a modern touch . It changes from the usual Spanish restaurants around

We went early, yet it took them 2 hours to serve the last of the 4 courses we ordered —two were appetisers. We had a meaningless all-sweet mi-cuit, and the grilled goat cheese salad could be much improved. A pity.

We found Mulse quite by chance when walking the coastal paths. We have been going there ever since. It is absolutely charming and a MUST for lunch out of season (it may be closed for lunch during the summer season). The food is exciting, the service is of the highest standard, and the views are the best you will find on that coast. Evening meals are a little more expensive and the restaurant is rather special so it is a place to go for dressing up if you wish.

As we live here I am upset to say that I really did not enjoy my food. Service is far from attentive. When arriving my food was cold, it took a long time to get talk to somebody about this, by which time I had eating some of the potatoes that came with my main. My food was taken away and reheated and placed back on my plate and so my companions had eaten by this time and I now only had the main part of my meal. We were offered no apology or anything and just felt a burden to the staff. Not a pleasant atmosphere at all at this place, very presumptuous. Such a shame as we feel we cannot go back. However downstairs are the complete opposite, lovely people and good service - a nice bar.

Whenever possible we go to Mulse at lunch time to experience the wonders that they produce on the set menu. This visit was no exception and the food was as adventurous as ever. Wine is always included and always of high quality. The terrine of pate, chicken, and cheese, was rich and tasty. Bread is also included but today the chef had created his own egg flavoured salt which was sprinkled in a tray of olive oil for us to dip the bread - enchanting. The main was a risotto made from rice sized pasta and it was entirely a new delight. Finishing up we chose panna cotta which was creamy and set on a bed of blueberry coulis - heaven. Coffee was not included (but how could it be at just over ten euros per head). The coffee was rich and satisfying as usual.
All this with friendly, caring, service, and the best scenery on the coast. It will take a little effort to find Mulse but this will make it like your own special secret. (I believe lunch is only available out of the summer season so make sure it is open before you go).
We have also spent many a happy hour on a long summer evening dining at Mulse but not as often as we would like.

I had really good memories of my dinner at Mulse some 3 years ago, so I went back for dinner as soon as I had the chance... and I was not dissapointed at all. The service was as friendly and professional as I remembered... and the food is even better. They´ve made a few changes to the menu and the "ensaladilla rusa" is a fantastic addition. The tataki and the tartar are still awesome... and we were pleasently surprised by the dessert (last time round we did not try them): the Claudia chocolate cake is absolutely amazing.
Long story short, one of the best dinning experiences in the Spanish Costa del Sol.

We enjoyed it the first time and again recently, it is probably the best restaurant in Rincon de la Victoria.
