Quality food at a lovely restaurant run by Spanish people, serving mainly Spanish customers. Huge portions - be warned - but all delicious. Great local ingredients. Lots of fish but plenty of meat options, too. Liqueurs offered free with coffee. Don't know what they were called but they were delicious!

Every time I come to spain, I make sure I go to two restraunts. San Rafael is one of said restraunts. The suckling pig is the best porkyou will ever eat. Crispy crackling and you get the whole pig, including the insides. So try to be aware what your actually eating, could be the throat, kidneys, liver etc. Its reasonably... More

We went to this establishment on the recommendation of a local (which is a good sign in itself). We didn't book and when we arrived the place was practically full - we got the last table, for two people. Don't be fooled by the outside - this is a lovely restaurant, with traditional furniture and setting; not luxurious but very... More

We were 12 guests dropping in by a coincidence. Huge amounts of starters and main course were served, and we were all satisfied.

We visit San Rafael frequently I generally have Fish while my partner likes the Pork with pepper sauce, I have never been disappointed with any of the fish dishes and the pork is always cooked nice, the potatoes which are sliced and oven baked with onions are delicious! You get a little taster, then hot bread and olive oil, all... More

Having visited San Raphel over the last 15years my experience this week I found Disapointing. Locally there have been numerous bad reports , which I found hard to believe, but unfortunately were founded on fact. The food was just not up to what I have grown to expect. I am not sure that it was coincidence but we were the... More

Just back from a 'meal' from San Raphael, the 19th hole, close to Duquesa. Having been around for loads of years and having been there for many times with a good feeling afterwards...but now ..atrocious. So bad. Old lettuce in a (couple of days old) mayonaise salad. Mushrooms with no taste. Waiters do not want to know anything altough my... More

It's worth going to San Rafael just for the bread. I'm not joking. This restaurant has the alternative name of "the 19th hole" It's very popular with the mature Scandinavian members of the local La Duquesa Golf Club, people that appreciate the best things in life. You may expect to pay about 35-40€ upwards for a good meal but in... More
