Entrance coxinha de pato, piracui with caramel banana, was great; and the local fish dishes was really nice. Nice price and extremally good food. Highly recommended

We spent a week in Santarem with friends who are locals and this was where they took us for our final meal. We had tambaqui with a delightful sauce as well as several other dishes...for 8 adults with two plates (and they feed all of us), beer, deserts, and other beverages it was only $224R or about $100. It is... More

We finally had a late sailing and were anxious to try some local food. Ten minute taxi ride from the Port landed us at Nossa Casa. A charming restaurant, on the riverfront. Beware not one word of English or Spanish was spoken there and so we were very limited in decifering the menu. The caipirinhas were terrific, the staff couldn't... More

Nossa Casa is one of the best places to eat in Santarem. Located close to the riverfront, it serves regional food with a modern touch, mostly fish-based. Fishes to try are the tambaqui (flesh tastes of fruit) or the pirarucu. I personally like the caldeiradas (fishstews). Also good caipirinhas.

Description
Close to the riverfront this is the best restaurant of Santarem. It offers very tasty local cuisine, often using fish like Tambaqui (which tastes like the fruit it eats) and Pirarucu (one of the largest freshwater fishes in the Amazon). Run by two sisters.
