We ate Mardin Plate for dinner and it's awesome but breakfast is not good as looks. I recommended this place because dinner is really good + view amazing. Enjoy.

We arrived here at 7:10 pm and as we arrived they told us that the kitchen will be closed soon ... we sat and forced to order what’s available , where most of the local dishes ( that we came to taste) where not available..., and we ended up ordering very regular food that can be found at any kabapci with tens times better quality ... the food is below average and no special or local food as upon the menu was available !!!More

Worst Restaurant in Turkey. I paid 40 lira for the Mardin plate and most of the food was not fresh. Some of the stuff on the plate was unbeatable. For Turkish standards, the service is really bad. I don't recommend spending money on food there....Just take a drink as the view is nice. When I paid I said it was really not fresh. They just said sorry. Didn't seem to care. This is a tourist rip off.More

The restaurant has a nice view over the Mesopotamian plains. The menu does not include decent lunch options, not that it matters much... After giving us the menus, the waiters decided that they would not bother to serve us and ignored our repeated requests to...take our orders. Poor.More

I came here with pack of friends. They have fast food and beverage service. There isn't any fix menu but i like à la carte anyway. Decent price range for all. It's a shame they haven't any alcohol serving license. The Assyrian wine would be...very nice with that view. There is plenty of coffee instead of wine you can try mirra :) the most bitter coffee of my life :) Night visits recommended even though they have lots of shady spots in their terrace. The wind itself is hot for me but it's your choice :DMore

We debated on this or the Bagdadi restaurant based on reviews here. In the end, we came here. It was very busy on a Saturday evening. The open terrace with views was closed due to rain but we planned to sit inside as it was...chilly. I am guessing if the terrace was open, the inside would have been less busy. It's big but very noisy, busy and chaotic. Lot of staff. Clean table and cutlery. Service was good but also strange. I think a language barrier more than. Staff speak no English. Had to ask for the menu. It had English translation but it didn't really make you think the dish was like! It was badly translated. Nothing really appealed to us. Based on the reviews and photos, the Mardin tabagi which is the mezze was what we wanted but we could not get wifi and show them a photo of what we wanted! Luckily a girl near by had this and we pointed to say we wanted the same. It took a bit of time to come but my god it was delicious! There were minced breads, rice with meat, vegetable and meat stew, kibbeh, stuffed vine leaf and some other minced starter. Very meaty but yummy. If you are just having this it is fine for one person. Not heavy but enough to fill you. You could not have a main or sweet treat after this. If you are sharing then yes, you could probay do with a shared light main. This dish Mardin tabagi is good to have for a range of small bite size tasters of all. They give extra bread on the side if needed. I just had water to drink. To be honest looking at other people's food, this dish was the only appealing one. Others did not look nice. I am struggling to see why this is top rated here, but I can't really comment as we had the Mardin tabagi. I would highly recommend this. My main negative is the restaurant was mainly filled with local families. It was difficult to have a nice meal as children were screaming and running around and very noisy place. Tables close together and people hitting you as they walk passed. As I said before I don't think it would be as busy had the roof terrace been opened. This was the most expensive meal we had here. Although still cheap by Western standards. I would recoomend if going for the Mardin tabagin. Not sure I would otherwise.More

We booked and went for dinner there. The menu is very poor and the unprofessional staff is unable to give you more detail about the food provided. As we were trying to figure out the menu by ourselves, three members of staff, very young, were...laughing at us. We eventually ordered some food that was tasteless and we paid quite a lot for it. The following day we went to Cercis, a very renown restaurant I definitely recommend, and we paid the same price for far much better quality food, a glass of delicious wine and excellent service. To sum it up, it´s a rip-off...More
