Called in for lunch today after walking from Morecambe to Heysham, and we weren't disappointed. Lots of different choices, but we opted for scampi and chips. A very generous portion and it was delicious. Great coffee too. We will be back to try the all...More
We were excited about the breakfast for which our friends had told us lots of good things. The food was delicious, good portions, reasonably priced and very clean. The staff on duty spoilt it for us. Hence the 3 score.

After arriving in Heysham for a few nights break, we wandered into the village and found this café. The staff are very friendly, there seemed to be a good menu choice, although we only had coffee and cake. Both of which were excellent.

Hi. Thank you for your question.
Due to our kitchen being on the small side, we are only able to stock a limited menu.Although we do not have a specific gluten free menu, we do serve items such as omelettes, jacket potato with various fillings, full English Breakfasts to name a few. Our soup is homemade, however, we do use stock cubes which states there is a possibility of gluten traces. Unfortunately, our home made cakes are not gluten free- our reasons for this is to prevent any cross contamination during the prep and baking process, however we do stock a small selection of gluten free biscuits and cakes which are provided by outside companies. We do also keep a small supply of gluten free bread for sandwiches or toasties. Our aim is to provide as wide and varied menu as we are able to within the constraints of our small kitchen and will endeavour to accommodate as many of our customers' requirements as possible. We are always happy to take suggestions too and what might not be on the menu today, may well be in the future if it has been requested. In short, if we have it in and we can make it, you can have it. As with our full menu, everything is subject to availability. I hope this answers your question.
