Lovely setting, although once you are inside the views are a bit limited. It's a little bit off the beaten track, but probably all the better for that, nice calm atmosphere. Food and service excellent, perhaps just a bit pricey compared to other options nearby. Right next to the pier for Lismore ferry so could combine with plans for a... More

In a glorious setting facing the island of Lismore, it should have been a perfect experience on a beautiful evening. The Pierhouse is a very appealing building with its own car park at the end of Port Appin. We watched seals near the pier. The drinks offering was poor unless you want whiskey! I asked for cider. I was offered... More

We ate at the Pierhouse Hotel two evenings and had excellent meals both time. One evening we had the impressive and delicious Grand Seafood platter - which definitely summoned the attention of other diners! The highlight for us was the cullen skink. I love cullen skink and try it everywhere it is offered. The cullen skink at the Pierhouse restaurant was... More

A nice atmosphere and staff, good food, a long wine list sectioned by counties of produced. Salmon I ate was very good and fresh, vegetables perfectly al dente.

Any hotel restaurant where it’s probably easier to arrive by boat than by car, has to be a destination worth the trouble. In this case it’s well worth negotiating the couple of miles of narrow road to get there. Food simply delicious, perfectly cooked and nicely presented in a location that one might dream of and I hope very much... More

The food was great and the view even better. Good value. relaxed atmosphere. Choose the restaurant for more formal or the bar for informal. Easy to find loads of parking.
