Refreshing to go to a Restaurant that still believes in good fun, good food, good service and good prices. Our party consisted of: 2 adults, 1 young adult, and one 11 yr old. The rooftop terrace is nothing fancy, but the music was great &...the chairs comfortable, serving decent pub food! The waitresses were very busy but ensured we were taken care of. Chicken wings & sweet potato fries were the best! Decent portions (we shared). We would definitely return. I must add that they still provide "real" menus. I believe part of the experience of going out is to have conversation and share the experience with the people you are with. Being on your phone, even to look at a menu, is not conducive to that. Other Restaurants in the area refused to provide a menu, so we didn't stay. As for health standards & cleanliness - absolutely no concerns to be addressed. We just came in for drinks. A very busy place and well served. We ordered some chicken wings to go but they were a little underdone after heating in the microwave. Came with celery and carrot sticks.

So we arrived in town with no dinner plans. The Fireside was close to our place, so we decided to check out. Fortunately, I wanted to check their menu online first and stumbled upon their Facebooks page, on which they boasted that they opened their...restaurant to those without proof of vaccination, because "freedom." So we exercised our freedom to grab dinner from a restaurant that chooses to follow health and food safety standards.More

Food was not that good. Very plain and fish and chips look like they came out of a box at the supermarket and oily. Service was bad.

Noticed this place while my kids and I were leaving the lake and looking for somewhere close by to have lunch. It is right across the street from the lake. Service was good, portions were good and pricing average.

Went yesterday for lunch with my neighbor. Food was fantastic, waitress was really nice. Food was out with 15 minutes of our arrival. Nice clean restaurant. Prices were exceptional, for such good food. I believe this is a Alberta Restarant

Basic pub decor, but view of the lake was great. Great food, especially the steak sandwich. Would eat here again.

Our seniors curling enjoyed going here on Thursdays after our games for lunch.Seing they are now adding a surcharge to groups in the guise as tips we will no longer be going there

Was in Sylvan Lake for a work trip and needed a quick meal to pick up and take to my hotel before “hitting the hay”. Had specific dietary needs that they were more than willing to accommodate. Food was large portions (enough to take home...the next day) and tasty. Only “complaint” was that I asked for the vegetables to be steamed and they were drenched in butter and also tasted like they were previously frozen and I prefer fresh. Other than that, good service, decent food and very accommodating.More

I am always satisfied with this place. I usually stop in for a bite to eat a couple times a week. The food is always good and the staff is friendly and fun to talk too.

A day trip to Sylvan Lake must include a stop at The Fireside. The restaurant including the patio could use some updating but the food and friendly service make up for that. Pizza and Bacon Wrapped Scallops didn't disappoint.

My two teenage grandchildren and myself were on a mini vacation and enjoyed this pleasant rooftop patio with a bird’s eye view of the lake! Service was efficient and friendly and the pizza was delicious! Ours was loaded with all the usual favourites and topped...off with lots of cheesy goodness. Only comment would be the crust could have been a little thinner. Prices were reasonable and portions generous, requiring a take-away box which my grandson enjoyed a few hours later. All in all a very enjoyable experience which begs for a repeat sometime soon!More
