Our first visit in Hel and we have already found perfect place. This is one of my top restaurants to go for tasty fish. All the food delicious and very fresh. We started with fish soup followed by cod wrapped in bacon (yummy) and for...main we had fried plaice and salmon in feta and leek sauce accompanied with baked potato with garlic dip. Very friendly staff was happy to help and advice what to order. Definitely recommend and want to visit again.More
I expected more, perhaps that's my problem. Went to Maszoperia to grab some coffee and cake after watching the seals. I can't really complain, everything was just OK but it seems like the place misses this little 'something', at least for me. Perhaps I need...to come back and try their food. Not a bad place for sure, worth visiting even if for the building itself.More
This restaurant came highly recommended so we went out there for a dinner. It didn't quite live up to its world of mouth. We went for fish of the day which was a cod with spinach and mozzarella cheese. It was heavily covered with breadcrumbs...and very greasy. I give you that this is common thing for polish sea but we've expected here something lighter and more sophisticated. Prices are reasonable and the service was really great. Tip well deserved despite the food itself. We won't be coming back though.More
If you want to see the old stylish restaurant in the Hel peninsula you need to visit here.
Old fisherman hut , rather not spacious,
Service not understand the kitchen and are not able to describe local cuisine details.
For herrings usage of common and...popular spices so called "vegeta" we notice and suffer later .More
A must be for all who visits this unique part of polish seaside. The restaurant is in really old fishermen's house with the special spirit and unique smell of the interior. Delicious food is served on separate plates so you can mix dishes with your...mates. Highly recommended! But remember: do not ring the bell - unless you are alone in the restaurant (old pub/ tavernas rule: the one who rings offers ALL guests a shot of vodka/tequila/grappa)More
