Ate here for dinner and also 2 breakfasts Dinner was ok but the staff were not trained in fine dining and continually forgot our requests aswell as others nearby. Same happened at breakfast Far better food and service elsewhere, reminded of when England was known for food and service far behind its European neighbours. Forntunately many other restaurants in Engalnd... More

When visiting England many think of Kings and Queens and the opulence they enjoyed many years ago. Well, if you have the opportunity to visit Swinton Park and have diner at Samuels you may just get a glimpse of what that life may have been like. The food is unique and relies heavily upon what is growing in the walled... More

Stayed at Swinton Park and reserved a table in the restaurant when we booked. Glad we did because the dining room was full and some clearly could not get in. Based on that I was expecting it to be good and was not disappointed. Lovely food in a quiet setting, overlooking the grounds where we could watch the deer. Worth... More

There is no finer place to visit for Sunday lunch that this establishment with its vast grounds magnificent buildings and first class service and cooking, recommend you have a small constitutional in the grounds and visit the birds of prey and see the deer. We recommend you give it a try we will certainty be returning when next in Yorkshire.

Whilst we were not able to experience the full menu for dinner, although the portions of the two courses we chose were small they were tasty and very different to what we have experienced in other restaurants. The setting is sumptious and ideal for a special occasion meal if you are not concerned about the cost but want to have... More

The dining room (as shown above) is delightful and the service is mainly good. This accounts for the two blobs I have awarded. As to the food, the first two courses are £58 and the puddings an additional £8-£15. My first course was "flamed mackerel".This amounted to a tiny fragment of warm fish and some dots of liquidised cucumber. My... More

This was our third time eating here and the food was delicious. The waiting staff are very attentive and seem knowledgeable about the food and wine. I've become vegetarian since our last visit and it was great to eat in a restaurant where there has been some thought put into the vegetarian dishes, they were just as exciting as the... More

We stopped here for lunch as part of a weekend away in West Yorkshire and were blown away at it's grandeur and beauty! Every room is simply stunning and we enjoyed fantastic service in the Drawing Room eating their speciality Club Sandwich and a Burger. All very relaxing with soft classical music playing. Very attentive staff. We would have loved... More
