Visited for Sunday dinner while on a weekend away in masham. Starters were absolutely lovely and the trio of seafood was particularly good value! However we felt very let down by the standard of the roast dinner. No proper roast potatoes, something resembling shallow fried new potatoes, selection of seasonal vegetables was very poor (boiled carrots mange tout and two... More

We've frequented this place many times over the years and it never fails to satisfy. The staff are friendly, engaging and efficient. The food range is relatively simple with something for everyone and of course the range of beers is excellent; well it would be wouldn't it! Just how good the place is can be demonstrated by our last visit.... More

We travel to black sheep on a regular basis for many family occasions or just a lovely day out. The staff are very obliging and friendly. The food is always delicious with a varied choice for children and adults. I'm also assured the beer is unbeatable no matter what your preferred taste is there seems to be one for all.... More

Popped in on the off chance of getting a table as I'd read it was recommended. There was plenty of room and had a choice of where we wanted to sit (it was a Monday lunch time). Nice friendly atmosphere & very clean. Dad and I both opted for one of the specials on the board and we weren't disappointed.... More

It had been a while since we had visited the Black Sheep but again we were not disappointed. The standard of food and service were both good. Well worth a visit.

Booked a table for lunch (recommended as busy when we arrived). My husband and I both had the fish & chips, the haddock was in a delicious beer batter and my husband enjoyed a good pint of real ale. Friendly service. Recommended for an informal lunch if in the area.
