Happy drinks

We visited the outdoor area for some drinks and snack after the local Triathlon. It was so nice and the service was great. We stayed much longer than planned. It also looked very nice on the inside.

Ideal place to soak up the atmosphere of beautiful Vadstena

Had Sunday lunch in the Radhustorget. Although it was raining, the outdoor tables were all well protected and the atmosphere was very nice. Had the Baltic herring which was delicious with berries, mashed potato and a selection of vegetables. Attentive service and good value for money. Wide range of beers, wines, spirits and soft drinks are available.

Service so bad it was funny, but at least the food was edible

We waited outdoors to be seated and were ignored. Then we saw the sign that said we should go in around the corner to be seated - we did and were told to go back outside and wait for someone there. We started to seat ourselves, someone came up and "finished" seating us. Although they boast about their beer selection, the first two beers we ordered weren't available. The food was edible - I ordered the vegan dumplings, which tasted like they came out of a box from the freezer. People around us were paying at their tables, but no one responded to us so we went up to pay at the bar. At least we had a lot of fun laughing at the experience.

Well kept sports pub with excellent service

My husband and I were there on a sleepy Monday night in Januari. Well greeted immediately as we opened the door. Service was perfect. The food was a bit “rough on the edges”, but hearty. Will recommend this place!

Lovely restaurant, warm cosy and welcoming on a cold Autumn day

Worth a visit

Nice place, specially if you can sit outside, we had a revised version of schnitzel, it was good in quality and quantity... Service a bit slow, and one of waiter (the only male one) was a bit annoying, but beside that I'd definitely come back

Simple Dinner Choices with Outside Seating

Hamburger platter and tagliatelle with shrimp were both above average. The head server was fluent in English and we had an interesting long conversation with him. 360K for two (about $22 per person) is on the expensive side but in line with the area. Everyone said that the Swedes do not have a food culture. So far we have to disagree and this restaurant is a good example why. While it does not serve any traditional food (that I am aware of) it serves international food on a professional level. I had a Pizza für around 10€ and it had a thin, well done crust and very fresh toppings. The waiters are friendly and competent. Oh - and instead of pigeons battling for food they feature crows ;-)

Good food, friendly staff, nice ambiance.

We had dinner twice in this restaurant. The first evening pizza and the second evening salmon. Both dishes were great. We were delighted to get real cooked patatoes with our salmon instead of the boring French Fries. Both times we had dinner outside on the square.

Delicious, quick lunch service

The menu selection was varied and all was delicious. Service started with salad and bread. There was no waiting for the main course to arrive. The efficient, kind service had us on our way in short order.

Nice location and good food!

At first Vadstena is a jewel. Fantastic history, quaint and fine location. Restaurant Köket is located at the Town Hall square. It is nice to sit outdoor when it is summer time. They serve good food. The prices of the dishes are relatively high in comparision to the level.

The setting is perfect, the staff are friendly and good at their job, and we liked the food so much we kept coming back. Being an admirer of fish I can truly recommend their Arctic char, even their pizza was tasty.

Delicious food in an ideal patio setting with a view of the castle

This restaurant was our favorite on our recent trip to Sweden. The menu is traditional rather than innovative, but everything was well-prepared and delicious. It's clear that this kitchen knows what it's doing. Prices were reasonable and the outdoor patio is lovely. Dessert of rhubarb crisp with custard sauce left me thinking about it for days. The English-speaking wait staff were attentive and skilled. This place is hard to beat for an evening meal.
